Back to an eight handicap today and I had 36 points on the Lake course today,(winner had 40),
on 13-08-2015 06:26 PM
-4 playing Par on Tuesday and 41 nett playing foursomes today,
Hopefully it will be better on Saturday as the weather is supposed to be sunny,

31 Stableford points today,(not hitting greens in regulation and the chips aren't landing close enough
for a one putt),
Weather was good but some patches of the course are still wet and the ball stops quickly when it hits those
patches,

Played ok today until I got into a bunker (which I did quite often), then WIPE
finished with 28 points, but I really felt I hit the ball better than that (except in the sand )

Considering you were in a bunker a few times that was a good score for the remaining holes,(good luck
for next time)
I used to have trouble in the sand until I bought a 60 degree lob wedge and learned how to use it correctly,(
it's not for everyone but it "fixed" my bunker play as I can make a fuller stroke through the sand and not
quit on the shot)
Now I still don't like getting into bunkers, but I can generally get out in one and have a reasonable length
putt left,
My playing partners said that I played and scored well until they saw my score,(they thought I had played a lot
better than what my score indicated, but that's golf),

Grrrrrrrr golfers are an annoying lot!
I help out annually for a well known charity "doing" the cards/results. Because there is always a mix of regular golfers, lapsed golfers and newbie golfers we apply a scoring system that uses the scores on the day to determine the nett scores of the team (it's a 4 person ambrose IN AID OF A CHARITY!!)
Invariably there are questions and complaints about how team X had a better score than the Y, who should have scored better than team Z! They do my foofing head in!
Go out, play your game, have a bit of fun and be happy you're supporting people who need it!!!!!!
Sheeeesh!

Oh, btw, my team equalled the card - we finished about the middle of the pack.

But they want to win and obviously "stacking" their team didn't work,
We always had a few that could score a lot better then their "handicap" stated when there was a charity day,
Sounds like a better system then what some clubs use,(there are too many "hackers" around that are a lot better then the handicap they claim ),
Charity days are supposed to be fun days and it's a bonus if you win something,

To many "bushrangers" around to finish higher up than that,
Had my worst 9 holes since moving back here,(45 nett on the red),followed by a bad 38 nett on the blue on
Thursday,
So hoping to do better playing 18 holes today,

35 Stableford points on the Lakes today,(so one worse then handicap,81 off the stick),

20 points for the front nine yesterday, then BOOM, 10 on the back Sooo disappointing when that happens.
