And of course that is because they banned KOSHER slaughter because kosher slaughter is the only method which requires the animal to be alive for it to be kosher.

Norway (as do most scandinavian countries) allow halal slaughter and their legislation specifically covers this becaue halal slaughter can occur immediately AFTER stunning.

In most Scandinavian countries, kosher food has to be imported. Buy halal slaughter is acceptable.

Interesting how a simple fact can twisted to suit our aversion to islam...

Halal slaughter in Australia is the quickest and most humane death of an animal

i guess that is why 

Australian law dictates that all animals must be stunned so that they are insensible to pain prior to slaughter.

that law obviously needs to change.

lets start a petition.

For what?

All animals are meant to be stunned prior to being bled out. With the exception of religious exemption for Kosher slaughter (which is what the majority of non-stun slaughter is for as Muslims don't actually have a religious event that requires live animal deaths), all slaughter in Australia is pre-stunned.
