Miraculously, the financial crisis that scooped Abbott to a winning election after he brow beat a nation about Labors apparent financial failure, seems to have fixed itself even though the debt increased under Abbott by over $10billion in one year. How?
The idea of giving people back money in order to spend it in order to boost the economy seems to be the idea du jour for Hockey even though it was a bad idea when Labor did it to save our skins during the GFC. Why?
The government has just done a complete 180 degree turn on the the way it handles the countries finances. Every single financial decision, policy and value seems to have been turned on its head without explanation. Why?
The idea of getting the country out of debt is based not on good financial management but a fingers-crossed hope that the global economy is going to improve (it's not forcasted to improve by the way so our chance of whittling down that debt is a dream BTW...).
Why do I have a feeling that this purposely designed feel good budget is akin to promotional blackmail for an early election announcement?

Because it is, or if not an early election, setting themselves up for when their is one.
You can only commit suicide once !
Am looking forward to hearing what the Champagne Socialists have got to say about it.
At least we haven't got to the stage of young Champagne Socialists graffiting war memorials,
coming out in support of them, lying and then being exposed as being from a mega rich
family with a very privileged education to boot ! (Refer the media in the UK.)

Your post makes no sense.

I agree with you re the budget and how it was formulated.
The 2nd part was I am waiting to read what others from the Champagne Socialists set have to say about it.
The bit about Graffittiing a war memorial to the women of WWII refers to a Champagne Socialist called Laurie Penny in the UK
who just got taken apart and made to look a real idiot and did a number of things that will come back to haunt her.

A good budget but didn't go far enough to rein in the deficits debt Labor left behind.
Every morning when we wake up it costs Australians $96 million dollars a day to service the debt Labor left behind, $96 million dollars a day and nearly $1 billion dollars a month.
A scant 8 years ago our country was debt free, yes, debt free, then Rudd went on a spending spree that was not needed, a spending spree Rudd and Gillard went on and continued to spend (cheques for dead people and other mindless schemes too many to mention) ) for the rest of the time they were in office.
The billions in loss of border control, the billions in Rudd's (Kevin 707) manic travels all around the world dropping millions every time he left a country, the billions he spent on trying to get his position as chairman of the UN cemented.
Now I know the left on here just hate to read this type of home truth but there it is.
Now talk to me about handouts? is your handout under threat?

They haven't got out of bed yet but they will be here soon !
I notice that Vic is complaining about Abbott not liking Victoria.
Maybe those who live in not so well to do areas of NSW might get a bit extra
