Can someone explain to me why it is a good thing

For the LNP to continue with such an UNPOPULAR leader?

I don't get it at all, they are not really showing support and unity as a party so that cannot be a reason.

Doesn't having an unpopular matter to them?

Is it simply because some of them want to keep their jobs?

Is there an explanation out there that makes sense?

Do they want to lose the next election?

"....but I do believe that iI put my point on any issue over pretty well."

I would not agree with that statement.

The PM does not have the respect of the public (voters). Popularity or not, that is the main issue. Can't be repaired, he has to go.

according to popular opinion, they're going to anyway so might as well last the distance.

Posted this on Tony Abbotts Support Page as well:

“TODAY’S EVENTS ARE JUST THE BEGINNING”.
We now know we have 39 not so bright Liberals in our party and they need to put their thinking cap on ASAP.
The media have conveniently forgotten with the National Party support that makes 82 to 39. The media can suggest that we the public are stupid but at election time there will be a massive swing to the National Party if the Liberal back b...enchers pursue this course, while they are probably not much use to their country or electorate at the end of the day they are contributing to putting Labor back in power.

Liberal and National Party people will never vote Labor.
The Nationals will never sell their country out to the UN.
The Nationals were very supportive and vocal with their support of our Prime Minister, the media chose not to show us that.
Liberal people who feel they have been let down by their party will not vote Labor, they will not vote Liberal either some people have blood flowing through their veins not that yellow stuff.

Its A good thing for those who support him as they keep their seats on the front bench (they get paid more then those sitting on the back bench )

He will still get dumped.. just take a bit longer. He is not allowed one more stuff-up either..

NSW Govt don't want him anywhere near them leading up to the election.. might be hard as he lives in NSW!

Wishful thinking Donna?

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
