Or does your bias and prejudice prevent you from making a careful consideration?
I'm definitely biased and have some prejudices against the right however I could be persuaded to vote differently if someone could show me how we would all be better off.
For one, I do agree with an increase in the GST, I do believe that a closer look into welfare is not a bad thing.
Can anyone convince me that the Government hasn't lied to the voting public? That is a big one for me.

You're probably right but I do believe that Labor, with all their internal friction, at least offered some good long term policies which would have been of benefit to most Australians.
The previous government, with the independents, was attacked relentlessly just for existing. For doing deals with independents to form government they were hammered day after day because the libs think they were robbed. As the born to rulers it was inconceivable that the other side would be chosen over them. SInce then they have been on the road to seek revenge and punish any and all they suspect voted against them in 2010.

Yes freaky and they all seem to forget that they are there to 'serve' us first. This is what is most important. Not doing deals and feathering their own nests....though going by the past and recent records - feathering their own nests seems to be more than a passing fad.
Their lies and 'sins' will trip them up eventually.....no confessional box large enough to hide in IMO LOL

I think it's all too easy to accuse them of doing deals to feather their own nests.
The previous gov with the indies on board was not created by doing deals to favour themselves as individuals but to favour the community. Most of the policies were not for short term electoral cycle gain. The policies introduced were long term policy directions, which are now being dismantled to the detriment of the community for no good reason.
This mob are true masters of the big lie. They fabricated emergencies and disasters where none existed in order to bring down a government and they now expect everyone to just forget what they did and let them destroy our society.

yes freaky I will grant the ALP that much. They did indeed go about putting in place long term policies. Many good ones too.
I really despise the hypocrisy and lies and damage that this present govt are about though. I have not voted for this mobster lot.
It does seem though that each have a 'turn' at running the show.....the other party 'pretend' to attack then they swap over for a bit......and go on like this ad infinitum. Too comfortable and convenient.
I don't know why we stand for it.

"I am biased towards Labor generally." Oh gosh really? I would never have guessed!
"the unnecessary destruction of the NBN for the sake of it, while owning shares in OS FTTP projects."
Do you know if the NBN it will remain a legislated monopoly as the ALP required, together with the past snail NBN model closing down copper and perfectly good HFC networks because it was so economically fraught, competition had to be eliminated?
As for Turnbull owning shares in OS FTTP projects, you think you/we should dictate the overseas investments of parliamentarians especially in opposition, what arrogance. Next you will expect them to only fly Qantas.
At least we have a parliamentarian with a proven business and investment background, and Turnbull purchased French Telecom and Telefonica fixed interest bonds (also Sprint) and commented at the time:
"France Telecom's shares currently yield about 12 per cent and recently hit historical lows.
"France Telecom was able to deploy fibre to the premises “for one twelfth of the cost of the NBN”, stating that the speed and cost-efficiency of the France Telecom FTTH rollout made Australia’s NBN Co “look even more like a snail”.
Also: "France Telecom's shares currently yield about 12 per cent and recently hit historical lows.
I agree with him, I bought Telstra, but Turnbull could not own domestic telecommunication entities for his portfolio.
I would surmise FN that you have not bothered to read Turnbulls "Register of Interests" which I would recommend that out of interest and accuracy you check(?), among some 35 odd investments that he relinquished (Dec 2013) you would have noticed (?)
Deletion....Item 1 ....Self.... Listed companies....FTE
Deletion....Fixed Interest ....Self.... Sprint Bonds, Telefonica Bonds.
Oh gosh, naughty Turnbull has no overseas IT shares/bonds.
I would not have touched (or would) the Labour-snail NBN with a financial barge pole, but I have to thank them for firstly driving down Telstra's share price whereupon I bought a large block of them (2011), which then as a result of NBN's desire to blackmail Testra into selling /decommissioning its copper, resulted in my Telstra dividends now effectively returning 15% (with franking) and a share price almost doubled..
The good old Circus days with ringmasters Poor Me and Rudd, the Caucus Clowns, and Conroy boosting my share portfolio value.

Deleted 2013? So he did own the OS shares while trying to destroy our own NBN.
I don't care what you buy or sell. The NBN was for the benefit of the country, not just you.
I don't care that you have dated HFC connections because most of the country does not.
The NBN was an investment for the country not a company to create profits for shareholders. The return, estimated at approx 7% PA on completion is enough.
If you know anything about the build you would know that the back bones and transit network need to be built before it can be used so I don't know why you keep harping on about snails. You know better than most that it's no use connecting houses before the FSAM and POIs that support it are built.
Are you happy for this government to pour the same amount of money into an obsolete network?

"Deleted 2013? So he did own the OS shares while trying to destroy our own NBN."
As I said before, I guess you have not researched (the Interests Register), read it.
"I don't care what you buy or sell. The NBN was for the benefit of the country, not just you."
It still is, but myopic politics is in the way (and ignorance), not that most of the country actually know what they need in the way of speed/bandwidth. You never answered that question before FN.
"The NBN was an investment for the country not a company to create profits for shareholders. The return, estimated at approx 7% PA on completion is enough."
That is an oxymoron, because7% is a profit return for currently a single shareholder, the government, and after departing:
"Senator Conroy said there was "a debate to be had" about the merits of his plan to eventually privatise the NBN."
"The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has supported Labor's move to privatise the NBN despite critics arguing that would create another Telstra.
"I don't know why you keep harping on about snails" Really?, I will leave the comparison to Conroy:
"[The rollout targets] were always ambitious," he said on Friday at a lunch in Sydney held by the Australian Computer Society."
"We wouldn't have been so aggressive if we'd known how tough it was for the company."
"So I think that that was an area where we were overly ambitious."
"I don't care that you have dated HFC connections because most of the country does not." Dated? so why was the ALP NBN snail so keen to close the dated HFC system down? (Collectively, Telstra and Optus HFC networks pass ~2.7 million premises).
Like the Members register of Interests non research, I would suspect that you have "overlooked" why HFC was a threat to the ALP NBN snail: DOCSIS 3.1.
Meanwhile I will continue to use my dated HFC 30/2 to watch streaming whatever, with no need for higher down/up whilst thanking Conroy for his effect upon TLS stock. (the analogy was to highlight Turnbull appreciating Telco shares value, like i did with Telstra, whereas he could only invest in OS telco stock)
PS
"If you know anything about the build you would know that the back bones and transit network need to be built....."
If you knew anything about snails, you would know they do not have a backbone!
