This answers a lot of questions for a lot of people.

I get my groceries delivered.   I ask them to put them on the floor just inside the front door.

After I unpack, I wash my hands.

I hope that's enough.

As for delivered take away meals - always eat off your own plates, not directly out of their packaging.

Kitchen staff including washers should be tested for caronavirus and certified virus free before allowing anywhere near food preparation or cooking

Yes.

But will ya ease up on the  'everyone should be tested'  spamming.

Test kits are not widely available - even to healthcare people.

@domino - I've got some friends still operating in Hospitality. As well as the increased hygiene precautions, they have their temperature taken twice per shift - must be between 36.2 & 36.7 ( once at start) and answer a few questions once a day when they start shift regarding their activities since last shift, who they've associated with etc - so maybe not as good as the ridgy didge virus test but certainly increased precautions and procedures.

Once inside, they're not allowed out until end of shift and no cigarette breaks - smoking is prohibited

Good to hear Crikey.

Responsible - but not a total preventative.

We never buy TA food and very, very  rarely eat out, ya never know where/what their food has been or how long they have had it.

Do see what taking it lout out of the packaging would do, the food had already been contaminated by touching anything that may be in there

The link provided says th heat of the cooking kills the virus.

The idea of not eating out of their containers is that they've been handled - on the outside.

And that is where you would handle them too.

Dish it up.   Toss the container.   Wash ya hands before you eat.

I have no recollection of my last ' take away ' meal.

I do dine out - often - but not so much - given the current circumstances.

I do not cook - but all agree that is a good thing.

See - it works - I can - but refuse.
