Slightly off topic, the English language is so hard to learn , unlike the Romance languages that have set 'rules'. The Romance languages (named after Roman Latin) Italian, French and Spanish follow a clear structure of grammar and pronunciation. Just think of say in English pronunciation .... 'ough'. Tough, bough, cough , Don't mean to lecture but languages have always fascinated me and I could go on but will spare everyone.

Learning English is a very difficult task - to say nothing of reading & spelling it.
Homophones - for instance.
Meet - Meat : etc

And that's why conservatives don't bother to use the right spelling.....There wanting to close the boarders, without making any acceptions.
