That's not the way I read it.

Super is a regular and very helpful to many, so no doubt a misunderstanding.
That's kinda condescending. I'm pretty sure she meant what she said. Try defending people who actually needs help.

If you read between the lines, I read it the same way as Nova. Otherwise OP wouldn't have started the thread.

What's to read between the lines?

Wasted empty space, you know, the stuff that those with an abundance of it between the ears like to focus on. ๐
Maybe they identify with it

Car accident - my fault - but witness disagrees.
Does it make a difference as to if the other driver is illegally parked? Technically, I hit a stationary vehicle. Isn't it still my fault?
Anyone have any ideas?
As you can see, the guy parking has parked in 4 spots (not uncommon in this car park - makes it difficult to partk there, so I rarely do. But yes, I still hit the car, and take full responsibility for that. Totally my error.
I have called the insurance company, and left them to deal with it. They seem, to think that he should be fined (by who?) for not parking within the lines, but no idea as to whether this will make a difference to who is at fault.
Basically you did start this thread to see if there is any way you could be found not responsible for the damage - what the witness said to you, the ute not parked correctly etc.
You mentioned to the insurance company the ute driver wasn't parked correctly - why mention that at all, if you weren't thinking that could get you out of being responsible for the damage if the driver of the other vehilce wasn't parked properly?

You hit him, you were behind the wheel, you are responsible for hitting stationary object. Sorry, but I cannot believe that you would even try to blame the ute owner.

I read it the same way as supernova and bob as well and I don't know why you are so negative about their comments.
