Cat and kids issue

Our cat has taken to not respecting food boundaries at all. If we're eating the cat is involved. Food gets swiped off our plates, food batted out of our hands, cups licked.

I've taken to sending the kids outside to eat it's got that bad. What can I do to stop it?

Give the cat a whack, get it off the table and lock it in the laundry while you eat

It's cute you all think cats don't climb on benches and tables etc when you aren't around. I prefer to accept they will and keep the benches clean. I'm just glad they let me live in their house.

Oh thats just gross, can't imagine anything worse. I'm sure my cats get up to no good at night when we are asleep but the thought of them being in their litter box then on my bench where food is prepared.......YUCK!!!

why not put the cat out side and make the kids eat at a table

i have to admit i had a bit of a chuckle at those that think their cat stays off the benches and table.
