:^O:^O:^O jacks you made me laugh.
I'm the same. Last night at work a woman put her arm around me and hugged me. Hey, I'll get them where I can for free!
*sigh* :_|

Oh Cat, the friend that called you must must be very tuned into you somehow, That was very good timing. Stick to your guns...don't respond. Him contact you speaks volumes about where he is at. As for the sister... meh, she's not a friend.
I remember when I first broke up with my ex, any simple touch means so much.
BTW..I look fabulous with my new hairdo. Just in time for my upcoming 40th.

Yes it does speak volumes and I know he's asked his sister to contact me to 'rope' me in. I mean, really! How stupid do they think I am?
BTW what did you do with your hairstyle? I had a moment of "I need to do something drastic" and asked my gay friends opinion what he thought of me going short and blonde. He gave me his honest reply. NO! :^O PS I'm longish and brunette.

They underestimate you Cat
I went a little shorter with some slightly lighter streaks....so slight I can't even tell. Finally my chemically straightened hair is out. I have relaxed curls, although today, I'm looking more like a wild dog ...go away rain. I was thinking of going lighter but my hairdresser is honest and said, darker colours look youthful on you. God Bless her. I told her, "Well I think I hang onto my youthful looks as long as possible thank you". She laughed.

*cat tries to visualise jacks new hairdo*
It sounds lovely! Your hair stylist is most probably right. Darker hair can look better for some, makes their eyes stand out more, suits their skin colour.
Hmm maybe I'll go for lighter streaks rather than brassy blonde. I dunno. I have to do something with this frizzy dull lifeless hairstyle I have.

Perhaps you could book yourself into a reputable salon during your hols. A new do is always uplifting.

Hi everyone.
Koko - great post. In fact I think it should be reposted every few weeks, just to remind all those who are struggling a bit how well things can turn out.:-x
Jack. I love the sound of your new hairdo - how lucky you are to have a hairdresser who not only knows you but is able to be absolutely honest with you.
Cat, hang in there. You can do it.:-x And I agree with Jacks. A full on pampering in a top class hair salon is just about the best therapy I can think of for low spirits.
Gotta dash now, so hugs all round and I'll catch you later. xxx

Hey everyone! 😄
Cat, this is just my opinion but I too beleive that NO CONTACT is best. Stand your ground. I'm glad you have good friends around who know 'whats what'! :-x
Although I do admit that once I leave a relationship I do find it hard to completely cut all communication. Thing is, I KNOW that it's best, but I let my loneliness get the better of me. (I reckon that's when we should be banned from texting!!!) But hey we are all human.
You ARE doing it!!! I also agree that some 'beautification' would do you some good! Even if it's just a little treat! I know I always feel so much better after I just had a hair cut. Go for it!
Jack, you're hair sounds fab! I'm pondering a change too ... To what ... I have no idea! * ponder ponder *
😄

Hi everyone
I also agree that ignoring him totally is the best idea, ignore his sister too. He sounds like a worm. You are too good for him. I couldn't believe what a selfish man he must be when I read what you said how he wouldn't even go to the chemist for you when you were sick. Urghhh. What goes around comes around. Karma.
