Re: Cat_mioux's new home

Hi Gorgeous women!

Jacks I'm sorry I missed your birthday, so here are some belated smooches and hugs. The gift your daughter made you is just beautiful. You are very much loved Mama Jacks. โ™ฅโ™ฅโ™ฅโ™ฅ

Welcome back dtrh! I'm so happy the swimming has recharged you. Oh I would have hated standing there in the heat, hungry and hot. PS Isn't it lovely that Sally and J were so touched by your X-stitch gift. :-x

Hugs to all, Ms Braff ( who is so excited about Mr Damo's new album whoohooo!), Cuddlybunny, Ms She _Ele  and those I've missed and those MIA and those whom lurk :-x

I've had an intense couple of days. That lump turned out to be a really bad boil/abcess. The pain was so bad I couldn't think. I had it lanced at the surgery today and I'm on anti-biotics and the pain has eased somewhat. I'm off work on sick leave then my holidays start on Monday. I almost made it :^O

Going to back to bed .. love to all :-x

Re: Cat_mioux's new home

Hubby and I went to a Wedding tonight.

Lovely couple with whom hubs & the Groom played soccer together for many years (before I came along) and then I got on great with the guy, and when he met his future wife we all ended up being really good friends!

Beautiful night full of love and happiness, very special.

Our first night out without the bubba, but she was in GREAT hands of my little sis, before we left for the Wedding we officially asked my sis & her fiance to be "life guardians" (otherwise known as "Godparents") to Samantha. WIll be made official at her naming day in a few weeks.

Sooo tired and heading to bed, hope I get some decent sleep before Bubbas next bottle!

Re: Cat_mioux's new home

Seems that it is wedding season...some good, some not so good. I think I would have left Dtrh before waiting on my feet all that time.

I think it's amazing what a good swim can do for the body and mind. I did lots of swimming on my holiday although it was in a pool not at the beach which is not quite the same feeling.

I bet your sister is wrapped Kylie. I hope you enjoyed your night out and Samantha slept well for you overnight.

Woohoo Braff. It sounds like many of us are taking care of ourselves by getting away for a short break.  Batteries need restoring at times.

Poor Cat...ouch! :_| So glad you could get sick leave when you needed it. Does this mean you are on holidays now?

Miss 14 is causing immense stress to the family lately. I hope she snaps out of it soon. I'm barely sleeping. Her dad and I are at our wits end with what to do with her behaviour. She is too young to realise the potential dangers she is open to. A call to my mother was no help as I simply was reminded of how stressful I was too at that age. Gee...thanks mum for your advice. ๐Ÿ˜

Have a fantastic Sunday!

Re: Cat_mioux's new home

Hi fabulous women!

Kylie darling, Cuddlykittybunny, Jacks and Dtrh and all whom post, lurk and those MIA :-x

Jacks - I have a suggestion which is Buddhist in nature. It worked for my son when he was going through a difficult stage.

Sit quietly and visualise Miss 14 in your mind. Picture her happy. Surround her with a glowing light, whatever colour feels right: rose pink, light blue, white. Just sit there smiling to yourself and thank her for being her. Really feel her happiness and wisdom (Buddha Nature). Feel it until you feel extraordinarily peaceful. You may laugh with joy or you may have tears of gratitude. Do this a couple of times a day. When you speak to her make it all positive. Just like she did with her power point presentation about you. In fact. that's a great idea! Do one for her, either physically or in your mind.

I have to work today but then I'm on leave starting Monday. Whoohooo! Dtrh I also think these 2 weeks will be about healing. โ™ฅโ™ฅ

The pain has almost gone yay!

My Buddhist teacher sends me Buddhist quotes every day and I thought I'd share them here.

People shouldn't hesitate to exert their all, in a way true to themselves. How can you possibly ever know how far you can go if you've never run all out? To give up even before you've tried is actually arrogance- an affront to the wondrous power of life within you and disrespectful to yourself.

Re: Cat_mioux's new home

Hahaha   No problems MsCat  :-x

I was mentioned as part of the 'amd all whom post'.

I'm so glad that you are starting to feel better from the boil.  They can be very nasty.

One more shift and then hollies for you   YAY  ๐Ÿ™‚

Jacks, I have had 2 x Miss 14's ๐Ÿ˜ž  Sooo hard and one of them was living with her Dad at the time.

My youngest was and still is a problem.

14, they are not mature enough to be adult and they are too old to be a 'kid'.  They are in a time warp.

Testing boundaries, everyone else is allowed to do 'stuff'.  You're mean, I don't want to talk to you, what do you know about anything.  etc etc  I have heard it all.

Good luck.  I like what Ms Cat wrote.

For dtrh's information - Damien is performing tonight at the South of Perth Yacht Club.  Technically it is a Members and their guests gig but I have 2 friends who are going to it and they are very excited and hoping to hear some new songs from the album.

I don't really know much about the album except it is a mixture of old (covers?) and new (original) songs, hence the title Now and Then and it is due out 20th April.  I have already pre ordered it.  Damien could sing the phone book and I would be happy (in case you are wondering why I have ordered it without hearing it).

Also, by pre ordering it through Sanity I get a signed copy :-x

The video was shot in Hyde Park (Sydney) on Friday night.

Cuddly :-x:-x:-x

She Ele  *waves*

MIA - how are you going?

Kylie, how did Samantha go while you were at the wedding?

I bet your sister is over the moon about the important role you have offerred her.

Have a great week everyone.

Re: Cat_mioux's new home

Re Alicia

She is having massive lots of physiotherapy.  Walking, walking up stairs etc.

This weekend she has been allowed home for a short while.  It was her hubbys birthday through the week so they are going out to lunch and then she will return to the centre.

She gets tired very quickly, is still having headaches but is doing everything she can to enable her to get home permanently.

Re: Cat_mioux's new home

Thanks Cat for your advice.

Thank you everyone else for your support. She is being rude (extremely impolite), lying, taking off without permission, not where she is meant to be, refusing to come home when we find her, yelling, swearing. Then the day next she is apologetic. She's like a jeckle and hyde. She has lost all of her priveldges (phone, internet, T.V in her room) but the behaviour is continuing. I'm going to try to get her into a sport or activity she wants to do to try to get her focus onto something else.

She is doing well at school atm. In the top classes but for how long? It's scary.

I'm so glad to hear of Alicia's progress Braff. How nice that she is able to spend some time at home out of the hospital environment.
