It is a beautiful day in Melbourne Town. If my friend is taking me to the same place we went for lunch last time it is in the hills at a winery so it will be beautiful! Or we may have lunch at her house on the verandah overlooking the hills and the lake. I'm trying not to stress about the drive to my friends house (an hour). I haven't driven a "long distance" for what seems ages.

But I'll have a collection of CD's handy and sing at the top of my voice all the way there. :^O

Just popping in to wish everyone well ♥

Samantha is asleep right now and I need to make the overnight bottles and iron Mr 12's uniform ready for tomorrow.

Im feeling a little abandoned at the moment as hubs is doing night shift for the next few months 😞 I really dont like it!

Luckily Im not working or we'd never see each other. As it is we spend a couple of hours after lunchtime before the school pick up then he's off again!

He is basically setting up the night shift for his work and then (supposedly) can get his regular day shift back.....???

The older kids have been helpful keeping bubba happy in the "arsenic hour" when Im trying to organise dinner etc, but there are also the after school activities to drop/pick so it's really a pain dragging a baby in and out!

Oh Kylie...you are doing wonderful even if you are consistantly tired. It's so nice your older children are such great help (apart from running them around in the afternoons). I still remember the dreaded arsenic hour. 😐

I do hope your hubby's night shift doesn't go on too long. :-x

I had the best day yesterday. I sang along to my Cat Stevens CD which the made drive go fast then my bestie and I had lunch sitting on her verandah watching the wildlife and enjoying the sun. It was quite eventful too ... my bestie had a suspision her DD was smoking. Thanks to Mr Ex I have honed detective skills and it only took me 2 minutes to discover a butt hidden in the mulch under a tree. :^O

Then the doggie dropped a dead mouse at our feet. 😐  Not long after Mr Ex left I had to deal with a dead rat in the driveway so I was prepared for this crises. With hands on hip I said "okay this is what I need. Rubber gloves, a brush and pan and a garbage bag and there will be lots of OMG's and ewwwwwwwww's and dancing around but I will do this".

Problem solved :^O

See? I have developed skills I never thought I had. 😄

I have had /am still having a wonderful time.  I am listening to a preview of Damien's new album.  Just a snippet from each of the songs and it is sounding so good.

There are 6 original songs and 7 covers (all from members of the Travelling Wilbury's) following on from his ROY tribute album to Roy Orbison.  Damien is singing Leah on this new album.  I have heard him sing it in concert and it is devine.

I feel his original songs are the best ones on it, although like I said it is only a snippet of each song.

One of his originals has been re recorded with a piano driven base - Beautiful, which you are aware of as being used in the Estee lauder commercial.  I believe Estee Lauder are going to run the campaign again for Mothers Day which is wonderful because this gorgeous song is going to be released as a single.  Something that should have happened about 4 years ago.

Mr Braff is going OK.  His head is still sore but he gets the stitches out next wednesday and that should ease the pain a bit.

Have a wonderful Easter everyone.  Hot Cross buns tomorrow /today - Friday.  Yum.  No meat.
