I know Freddie, I was diagnosed with cancer just after my 30 birthday and the wait for tests and information and operations was not fun.  Just make sure your partner talks to you, I made the mistake of hiding things from my OH as I did not want to worry him not realising that it was causing him more stress as he thought I was shutting him out.

Cat I count myself as being very lucky in my life I have a loving family and a OH that even after knowing each other for 29 years and married for 25 still tells me every day that he loves me and won't leave the house even if it is just to empty the bin without giving me a kiss.

I have had some major ups and downs in my life but have had wonderful support from family and friends, I think that is why this thread hits a cord there are so many people on CS that have given good advise and support to all of you that have needed it in your hour of despair.  And you are a good example you started this thread feel like the sky had fallen in and nearly 2 years later reading your posts you appear to be happy, more confident stronger and know you can survive on your own and you are still wearing your OK's.

Hello everyone. Just letting you know I am still always reading this thread, just can't always reply.
Anyway just wanted to say best of luck to everyone going through hard times. I have a theory that once one bad thing happens it seems to have a roll on effect and more bad stuff starts happening. The old, it never rains but it pours theory. But hang in there, things do get better eventually.

Hi everyone, hugs to those that need them and hugs to those that don't need them.

I'm on holidays this week. Me and my best friend are staying at a holiday house by the beach this weekend. Just us! No kids or husbands. Yay!
