Cat_mioux's new home

I've got a 'don't need a man' situation here ๐Ÿ˜

As I was happily skipping down the driveway I saw a dead mouse/small rat which is really spooky strange because she-ele had today posted she had a dead mouse under her dishwasher. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

I'll deal with it tomorrow. Ewwwwwwwwwwww!:^O

I plan to collect the following implements for my 'remove dead mouse/small rat endeavor.

Rubber gloves
3 plastic bags
spade
Rescue Remedy

Make the spade long handled. Seems a few peeps were presented today with mice/rats.

I saw something last night that made me sad to the core.
Was driving past an friends house at dusk and as they had the lights on I could see into their kitchen. It was obviously dinner time and the kids were seated at the table and I could see mum and dad bustling around the table tending to them.
It made me so sad. I had that once. Now my kids are stuck with a tired, often cranky over stressed mum.
I wish I could give my kids back that security of never doubting that mum and dad will always be together and never not be there for them.

I know who to ask if I ever need to change a washer. I used to know but 10 years of not having to do this kind of thing you kind of forget.

Have you bought a pair of orange knickers yet jacks?

cynth - I know seeing intact happy families can make you sad. I was a single mum for the first 17 years of my kids lives. I left their father when my youngest was 14 months old. I was both mum and dad to my kids.

Your children may see a sometimes tired and cranky mum but they also see a mum who is working hard at making a solid and secure life for them.

Sorry..no orange knickers in my drawer yet. Honestly don't come across them too often. I'll keep an eye out.

Good afternoon flannie and tende :-x

and all the other Oker's and lurkers :-x

I haven't removed the mouse/rat yet. *sigh*

But I plan to chant for an hour or more today. I'm still feeling life is 'surreal' which is understandable. I don't think my grief for my dad has even begun because we are still waiting to collect the ashes which, once we scatter them, will be the final goodbye.

Keep moving forward cat keep moving forward.

No need for the rubber gloves to move a mouse!
Just two bags- put hand in bag, pick up mouse and turn bag inside out over the critter.
Knot the bag. Put into bag no.2, knot it and drop it in the rubbish bin.
Observation: the sooner you pick it up, the easier it will be- once it starts to disintegrate, the job and the smell are worse.

Willing is not enough; we must do."
