My brother is a divorced Dad, he is a wonderful father to his 3 kids, has always supported them financially and never ever bad mouthed their mother. Now, 10 years down the track, they are Rob's kids, don't have a lot to do with their mother. What goes around, comes around. Not all fathers are bad girls.

I know they're not linda. There's bad apples in any basket. Don't get me wrong, my ex loves his kids and would do anything for them......just that he loves himself more and everything he does comes with strings attached and I don't think that's a good relationship for a parent to have with their child. Love is unconditional and you're a parent 24/7 for the rest of your life, not when it suits.

I understand what you are saying Cyn, and I do know of Dads like that. They don't seem to realise that when their kids grow up, they will finally realise what sort of a Dad they have and be disappointed for the rest of their kives.

Hi wonderful OK ladies ♥


I'm sitting here waiting for my daughter and her boyfriend to come over to spend the night here then they are leaving for the airport tomorrow morning to begin their 7 month trip around the world.

I keep telling her I'll be fine and I will be. But OMG I will miss her so much. :-x

I watched an episode of The Street last night. The one about infidelity. At the end the husband says to his wife .. "I couldn't have sox with her, because I love you".

Never use Aldi loo paper to wipe your teary eyes because it stings! At least the pain stopped me crying. :^O

We still haven't scattered dad's ashes. I don't think I'm up to more 'goodbyes'.

The good news is my good friend is basically propping me up. She's keeps telling me I'll be okay.

I can do this. I can do this. I'll be wearing my OK's tomorrow.

You can do it, Catty.:-x the important thing is, don't beat up on yourself every time you stumbles. Just pick yourself up, dust yourself down and set off again.

I thought you might like to read this little snippet from the novel I am currently writing. It is from the start of the book where an elderly man, at his granddaughters wedding, is looking back over his life.

I close my eyes and see it as a landscape, hills and valleys, rivers and mountains, dark forests and interminable plains: so many paths, so many possibilities, and the journey of my life winding through them like a stream seeking the sea, leading me down the years to this haven of my age

Beautifully written she-ele. I guess that's what makes life the rich tapestry it is.

I also like the Buddhist analogy - the more the precious stone is tumbled (polished) the more it shines.

Are you writing a children's book she-ele or an adult story?
