Kylie that's wonderful news you are reaching out to the Buddhist concept of training the mind. It really does work! Even before I converted to Buddhism I used meditation techniques for my second (home) birth. My baby presented facing the wrong way and it was a difficult labour but I managed without any pain relief what so ever.

I'm so used to prayer/chanting now that if I'm at work, all I have to do is take a deep breath and say "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo" once and my body slips in to a relaxed state immediately.

Keep practicing

I saw a massive Buddist temple in Melbourne yesterday cat and thought of you. I'd have loved to have gone inside and had a look around.

bizzy I remember! Thank you so much! I can't wait to see it. It will be very very special to me. :-x

Cynth - You could have walked inside if it was open? We have just had a new temple built but I haven't managed to visit it yet because it's all the way across the other side of Melbourne (Maribynong). It's not built like a temple though. It's a modern building I've heard.

PS yes I was tested to see if I had a brain tooma at the eye specialist. Negative, thank goodness.

I saw a docu on grief and it said the brain actually becomes inflamed during the grieving period! That explains my foggyness. It's my story and I'm sticking to it ๐Ÿ˜„

I have a Buddhist meeting today before work. Have a wonderful Sunday gorgeous people. :-x

Thinking of you Ms Cat. I won't be around here much anymore. I have been in hospital and have received some bad news. I just want you to know that I think of you often and will continue to do so. I am using you as my inspiration to get me through the times to come...your strength, your guts and your determination. Sending you much love.

Cat, I was going to suggest to you that the foggy mind could well be due to grief. No matter how strong we think we are, we need to go through the grief period to be able to come out stronger the other side. Grief can do all sorts of strange things to our body which include the brain. As you work through everything the foggy mind will clear. It is a well known fact that the grief experienced when going through sepapration/divorce is usually worse than that experienced with the death of a loved one.

Love, that doesn''t sound too good. I will be praying for your sitaution whatever it is.

Hi to everybody else.
