Sorry to hear of your health problems Trish - it must have been very scary.
My Dad used to have TIAs. He was told they were not life threatening, but they used to worry us. He never knew when he had had one, but we always did because his speech would be temporartily affected. He would try to say something and the wrong words would come out - I mean totally, weirdly wrong. The strangest thing was he didn't realise it. We would have to tell him, 'Dad you're not making sense, just wait a while and let it pass,' and sure enough after five or ten minutes it would and he'd be as right as rain again.

Ms Mioux is right Trish, you just have to try not to get into other people's stuff.

The "will it matter in 6 months time test" is a good one too.

I don't know anything about self hypnosis, but a number of people on this thread, in particular, will tell you of the calming affect of meditation. Just 10 minutes a day might help?

I try not to...but they bring it to me. Ex didn't want the kids for Father's Day...even though I phoned, messaged and texted 8 times to make sure coz I knew he would get the sads on the day. I even organised to be in Sydney in case he changed his mind on the Saturday...he said NO ! The messages started after lunch and went until 11:30pm. Then he apologised at 9am Monday saying it wasn't him but his "friend".

I do the right thing and then cop abuse.

K I need to stop coz my chest is pounding. Switching off the computer for now.

Have a good day at work Cat. Hugs to everyone else and thankyou once again. If anyone wants to add me on FB please feel free to. I did a cull a while ago because stuff was being shared and it was easier to cull everyone from Cyberworld than to pick a choose. I now have all my settings so that only certain things can be viewed by certain groups etc. I use the same pic on FB as I do here, so I should be easy to find.

Take care...lots of luv, Trish.

Mioux, have you had blood tests to check your hormone, iron and vitamin D levels?

I get that fogginess, too. Mostly,it's linked to too much stress and lack of rest/sleep. The unfinished business with my ex is the main cause for me.

Each time that you take a peek at what your ex is up to, shows you that you are better off without him - or anyone like him. Grief takes as long as it takes. You grieve for what might have been, you grieve for the ideal of 'love', you grieve for the part of you that you gave to one who did not deserve it. You grieve for as long as it takes to find a place for the hurt and disappointment.

You're doing well, Mioux. You are bound to have the odd slippage, every now and then, but you keep moving forward, bit by bit. โ™ฅ

Oh trish ๐Ÿ˜ž
((((hugs)))

My dear DIL had a similar problem though hers was caused by the pill - she had a huge clot in her arm that thankfully was found before it broke free and did major damage - she was on daily warfarin injections for about 18months and now is just on tablets (I think) - and no more pill - ever!
(So another granddaughter came along! LOL)

If you need to take these meds from now on, so be it. Many of us out here are on different meds to keep us going ( me included) and it's no biggy. I'm just thankful that they have stuff that helps me to ๐Ÿ˜‰

Now- just stop stressing! Ok!!? LOL!

Yes they bring it to you but you have to learn to not take it on. There is a difference to taking on the crap around you or distancing yourself from it. Please try to take a stap back and say, "Not my problem" next time someone tries to burden you with their stuff.

Thanks Guys.

Jack, I only communicate with him by text now. I need to have everything in writing. That way he can't threaten me. I have a standard response when he starts now...I have a Template in my phone that says..."I am only prepared to discuss issues to do with our daughters' care and visitation. When you are prepared to speak civilly, please feel free to contact me then."

I look at everything as "Is this my issue ?" and act accordingly now. You would have been proud of me this afternoon. Miss 14yo started stressing out about stuff happening between her friends and I said "This isn't our issue that needs to be a drama in our home. You gave good advice, they chose not to heed it, it is their issue to resolve." She kept stressing and I said "Bub, I am going for a walk because I don't have it in me to deal with this right now. If there is something you need help with, for YOUR wellbeing, I am here for you. Other than that I need to be away from this." Normally, I would be in there trying to solve everyones' hassles. I just can't at the moment. This is mine and my family's time.

Feline, I was in hospital. They discharged me on strict rest with follow up every couple of days. I am having 3 ultrasounds tomorrow and more blood tests. Friday I have to have another CT Scan. Depending how the bloods are I may end up back in as I have been having the chest pains again.

Yep, there are a host of meds I am no longer allowed to take now. Apparently I was at high risk as I was a Pill Baby and Miss 14yo was too. This all combined with the hereditary factor I was a ticking time bomb. I thought I had dodged it coz I was told I tested negative. But apparently with this disorder there are several different factors and variants that they need to test for...and they didn't test the variant that I have.
I should take a pic of my arm...I have a massive bruise from the canula from the hospital. It is now 8cm long by 3 cm wide...and that is from 8 days ago !
