Hi folks. Well my get-up-and-go finally came creeping back with its tail between its legs - but, alas, it's only a shadow of its former self at the moment, so I'm having to be very kind to it. :^O

Jack's I read a very interesting article some time ago on helping kids to deal with bereavement and one of the things it particularly mentioned was leting them know it's OK to remember the not so good things as well as the good things. In fact one of the suggestions they gave was mentioning casually, in the course of conversation, something like, 'remember what a terrible temper daddy had sometimes.'

Of course they were talking about a deceased parent, but I think the same principal applies with an ex. If the kids only ever hear him extolled as a paragon of all the virtues, they may find it hard to confide in you if they occasionally have problems with his behaviour.

Braff: great news on Alicia, fingers crossed, but it does sound as if it's maybe going to be a steady upward road to recovery from now on.

Mr Elephant is a formula 1 fan - it's the only sport he watches. it was good to see young Ricciardo do so well after having a prang at the start.

My hols start in 5 working days 🙂

The estate agent came over yesterday. It seems the landlord wants to sell. But you know what? I've been through so much these last 12 months that I'm over worrying. I'm chanting and invoking the protection of all the Buddha's and allowing life to unfold.

I wanted to chant to transform my fear into hope and faith and wow! It's working. Normally I would be stressing and fretting but I feel hopeful knowing whatever happens it's all for my happiness.

PS The landlord was supposed to meet the agent at my house but never turned up, nor rang. I have the feeling she's changed her mind and I'll be able to stay here until I'm ready to move.

I've really learned that happiness is a choice. You make a conscious decision to be happy. A big part of that is gratitude which automatically puts you in a good place.

I could not believe how very dirty my house really was until I started to give it a good scrub. Ewww. Miss 19 is home from work today and she is helping me. :-x

That's my plan Cat. I've just taken a shower after finishing and it looking and smelling great! I can sit back tomorrow and do nothing  B-)

I'm still trying to get my head around why anyone would feel the need to ring up and share information like that - let alone, do the deed in the first place. 😮

It was my fault as I did enquire as to how her night was? 😐

The whole concept of one night stands let alone the rest...is a bit disturbing and I don't go out with her anymore (after the first couple of times) unless it's just us for movies or dinner. I refuse to go into town for a p up.
