Hi everyone!

Blacksheepy I have to rush off to work but later tonight or tomorrow I'll post some links to Buddhism. Yes I'm a vego because every time we chant we pray for the happiness and peace of all living creatures. One day I woke up and could feel the connection between a living creature and the meat/poultry I was eating. I can't even look at meat now without seeing the life and the suffering of the animal. I miss the "idea" of meat .. because it fills you up and gives you energy but I don't miss the real thing IFYKWIM?

We had a Mothers Day miracle today! My darling Miss Kitty text me this morning to tell me she lost her purse with all her cards and money in it last night. Just as I finished reading her text the doorbell rang. There was an older man standing there asking if a Miss Kitty lived here. He had found her purse while out walking this morning and had brought it back! It was soaked having been out in the rain but I've dried everything.

Miss Kitty is so happy. I told her it was her good karma. She has gone to great lengths to find the owners of wallets and mobiles she finds. Once she found a wallet with an Irish Drivers Licence. There was an email address in the wallet. She actually emailed this young backpackers parents in Ireland. She ended up meeting this guy and handing him his wallet. She's always doing things like that.

Cat, totally understand what you mean about eating meat.  I have similar feelings.  Like I said I do eat seafood, rather sparingly though. 

Post that Buddism info whenever, no rush.  :-x

We don't celebrate Mother's Day in my family.  Mum says that we shouldn't be appreciative to her only one day of the year.  I feel the same about birthdays.  But within my family (which is just Mum, brother and me) we give presents, have special meals etc all the time.  Those times are much more special cause it's just cause we want too.  🙂

But to those who do celebrate and are mums - hope you have a great day and are shown how appreciated you are!  :-x

I am wearing orange undies today for Mothers Day.

I, like many others no longer have my Mum in the physical sense and I know people who have lost children or who haven't managed to have any.  The OKs are for them  :-x

What wonderful luck that Miss Kitty's purse was found by another good, honest person  I always hand found items in and would hope that my things would be returned if I lost anything.

I'm going to be spoilt tomorrow because I had to work today.

I'm so cold! The heating packed up last week and no sign of the plumber. X-(

I'm refilling hot water bottles and heating the wheat pack. I have a small heater I've had in storage for 20 odd years. The kitties and I are brrrrrrrrrr.

I'm doing the same thing Cat, warming up wheat bags/water bottles etc!  Last night I was on the lounge watching TV and me and Angel (the cat) were all wrapped up like sausage rolls in a quilt.  Was brrrr here in Adelaide too.  I'm not real big on the cold myself. 

But anyway - I'm thinking of going blonde ....  I've naturally a ashy light brown but haven't been natural colour for about 100 years!  For past 7-8 years I have been a raspberry colour with a very strong pink hue.  I love the colour but getting a bit tired of it.  And I'm thinking (being 40 now) that going lighter will be a bit more complimentary on my skin tone.  (I am really quite pasty white!)  I have been blonde before, for about 15 years.  Think it suited me.

I've been thinking about this for months and discussing it with hairdresser.  So at the moment I've not coloured my hair for a while, it's this bland washed out colour at the mo - I feel almost naked!  And a bit unatractive.  😐

Happy Mothers Day and thank you, I too had a lovely day!

Took baby Samantha to her first Mothers Day Marathon (at Parramatta Park, NSW), but this year was just a walk for me (not my usual run), 4km power walk pushing a heavy pram with a chubba bubba was a decent workout! 🙂

Took about 35/40 mins. Next year I am determined to run it again! Need to beat my best time of 23 mins!! LoL

After the early morning start we met my whole family for lunch at the local sports club, parents grandparents & sisters. ALways love our get-togethers! ♥

I worked again today and mum & Sammy had a great day! She's such a lovely placid baby, a real pleasure! From next week I do a month of 2x days work, then after that 3x days a week til end of year.

Was a bit hectic tonight with all the kid pick ups etc, but THANKFULLY hubs is now finished night shift and will only be needed to replace the guys (3) if they take holidays etc, so not too often!

Black Sheepy, the change in hair colour sounds lovely.

My hair changed colour this afternoon thanks to MrBraff.  He always does it for me.  I have gone a shade of chestnut.

When I was getting my hair cut the other day the girl doing it asked if it was my natural colour and I said I didn't think so, and that I had forgotten what it was  :^O

How lovely Samantha went with you on the Mothers Day walk/run Kylie.  It was such a beautiful day too.

I packed my bag this afternoon and tomorrow I will unpack it and when I decide what I will leave out I will repack it and that will be it.  No more to go in (hopefully).

I checked in online tonight and I am a bit bummed.  We love flying on the A380 and we go upstairs where they have 2 seats down the sides.   They (Singapore Airlines) have now made the top deck Business Class so we have been bumped down to the lower Main deck.  *sob*.

I don't know when I will get online again, but take care everyone.  :-x
