Thanks youcanand all our lovely OK'ers,  we leave for St Vincent's in the morning, we have accommodation at the Hospital. Tuesday morning we meet the specialist surgeon and his team, so should know by Tuesday afternoon what's to happen. I will be in contact with friends from here

who will drop in and let you all know how things are going.

Hi Guys,

I haven't been in here for a very long time. I stayed away out of respect to everyone here. I seem to attract a troll or two and you guys don't deserve that.

My reason for being here ? I don't understand it, but I was asleep and woke up compelled to catch up with the thread. I have only been able to read back 7 pages as I am really time-poor at the moment.

WOW, so many of you going through some awful stuff. But you know what...you are all so very strong and inspirational. You are all in my Prayers. Prayers for healing, restoration, wisdom, self-confidence and assuredness. All I keep hearing in my mind is "They really don't know how strong and precious they are".

You guys are strong, you are precious and you are important.

I'm back from my weekend away. It was part nightmare, part wonderful spending time with my best friend and doing what we do best - talking! On the way there I felt some chest pain but I ignored it. By Friday evening, while we were out to dinner, it just got worse and worse. I had a severe acid reflux episode months ago and it felt like that. We bought some mylanta and quikese from the supermarket but it didn't help. I spent the night throwing up and in awful pain. 😞

Saturday morning I rang my doctor and he agreed to fax a script for Nexium to the nearest pharmacy. My friend sat with me comforting me because the pain was horrendous. Finally my doctor rang and said he'd faxed the script. All Saturday I just spent the day in my dressing gown sleeping on and off. I couldn't eat anything, it was too painful. Saturday night we sat and talked and talked :-x and Sunday I was feeling a little better so we walked along the beach but I was very weak not having eaten since Friday.

I'm so disappointed spoiling my friends holiday too. Fancy going on holiday and having to look after a sickie. 😞

Cat sorry to hear you were unwell but I am sure your friend wouldn"t look at it as you spoiling her weekend. If anything she was probably glad she could be there to support you, and you said saturday night you just talked and talked, well thats what friends do, she sounds like the description of a true friend to me, one who is there for you no matter what. Hope the nexium has settled everything down.
