On the bright side Cat it looks like he is starting to take responsibility for the mess he is in with his "I made my bed now I have to lie in it" comment.

Maybe he is finally realizing that he has no one else to "thank" for the mess he is in but himself.

Nah, he's trying to make Ms. Mioux feel guilty. That was supposed to sound so sad and bleak that she would say, "ohh, noooo, I don't think about you like that!" and then the game could go merrily on...........
Since she didn't fall into that black hole, I assume the attempt at guilt tripping her was another epic fail.
He really needs a new woman to pull that "Ohh, poor me" carp on, because he's worn out all the previous ones.
Anyhoo, it's all still about him in his mind......

meh witches, you're thinking he's a better man than he really is :^O I make the same mistake over and over again. Why? Because you and I like to think most people have a brain and a conscience.

Yep judy - it's all about him and his pity party. I see it like this ... I threw him the ball (by responding to his email) and the ball landed in his corner but he's failed to pick it up because his head is too far up his kyber pass.
