morning all you wise ones 🙂

am having a bit of a grizzle as I have to go to my p/t job and work for someone else today 😞 had other plans,and was only just told that this particular casual staff was in Syd for the weekend X-( I hope shes enjoying herself,is all I can manage to say(through clenched teeth..)

I will have another coffee and change my attitude..:-D bbl

dtrh 😞 I hope you are enjoying working today despite having to change your plans.

I did a little experiment last night at work. I was on the "complaints line" all night as a supervisor (yay 😐 ) and I was getting hammered with personal attacks, verbal abuse. It was so bad my heart started pounding with fear. Every single phone call was awful.

I decided I had to do something. So I chanted Nam Myoho Renge Kyo in my head before picking up the phone. I did this for the next hour and wow wow wow!

Everything changed immediately. People had complaints but they were nice about it, reasonable, appreciative of my efforts to help. I had one woman who started screaming at me as soon as I picked up the phone but before I could answer her call dropped out. People with valid complaints kept saying "oh thank you so much, you are so kind".

I was concentrating so hard at chanting in my head I actually answered one call with "Nam Myoho ... oh .. Cat speaking how can I help?"

Why did this work? Why did chanting make such an incredible difference? I've thought about it.

Because when I chanted I was chanting to reveal my Buddha Nature and the person on the phone's Buddha Nature (Higher self). During our brief contact we were coming from a higher level. Like attracts like. The more angry and defensive I was I attracted more of the same. The more calm and compassionate I was I attracted more of the same.

I've learned so much from my little 'experiment' last night.
