Afternoon all. Not a good one as after six hours at the hospital today they eventually had to cancel the surgery. We get to try again tomorrow but there are no guarantees as there is only 2 theatres open on the weekends and it is shared with emergency. They even had him dressed in gown and tight glamorous stockings and hair net ready to go. We were so close. *drats*

Soul..your pain sounds just horrid. I really hope something can be done for you soon that will help give you back your freedom :-x

Cat..I hope you are feeling a lot better. Your girl is really having an adventure. I hope she recovers soon and can go back to exploring the world in optimum health. 🙂

My leg is ok. Still sore and I somehow managed to get it wet last night (the waterproof dressing let me down).

Car trip was to DD's, she moved and had to work at the time the removalists came, so I went up to let them in and supervise, until she came.

Then back to her new place for the night, then home this morning.

Fingers crossed that the surgery gets done tomorrow. :-x

Fingers crossed today is going to be the day for James to get sorted and his healing can begin. I have to start work at 12 so his dad is going to come in and take over then.

James has had surgery today. He's currently in recovery 🙂 I'm at work and will see him at 5:30 when I finish. They are saying he can go home tonight!

Good morning all :-x

James ended up staying in overnight..thank goodness I wasn't happy being told he could go home at 5pm after his 2 hour surgery finishing after 2pm. He didn't get out of recovery until almost 4. I saw him at 5:40 and he was still unable to make sentences apart from "I feel sick" while he grabbed his sick bag to vomit 😞 He was sweaty and dizzy too.

He has a huge 12 cm scar from his neck to his shoulder...I'm sure he will be showing it off proudly in a couple of weeks 🙂

At the moment of course he will be feeling rather sorry for himself. I just couldn't help myself *mean mummy surfaced* yesterday and told him to "remember how you are feelling now, next time you want to try something crazy".

The nurse felt terribly sorry for me after reading James' medical record and said, "OMG! He's put you through so much this year" and went on to ask me more about his car accident and how on earth did he manage to survive that?

I'm so tired. I want my weekend back to enjoy it. Master 6 is off school today with a pupil free day...ugh.

I'm to call the hospital at 8 or 9am and find out more. He should be coming home today. Thank you everyone for listening to my complaints and worries and thank you to all of you for your support and love during this ordeal. It has meant so much to have you all here :-x
