What an amazing holiday (mission) you had Mrs Braff! What was your favourite moment/place?

Hi Blacksheepy! How is your mum?

Miss Kitty stayed over last night. She wasn't feeling well but I secretly think she was worried about her mama and the earthquake lol.

There is a much loved member of our Buddhist community, who has been practicing for years, who is dying. She had cancer 3 years ago, an aggresive type that spread to her brain. She is incredible, so much energy and joy. She was admitted to hospital on the weekend to die but she managed to get them to agree to her going home where she's now with her family and friends. My Buddhist teacher is visiting her ever day and they chant together for an hour. My teacher sent us a photo of her looking amazing. Her face is glowing with, what I can only describe as joy. She's standing up wearing a cool hoodie, wearing sunnies and laughing. This woman only has days/weeks to live. I have heard of people who have practiced for years to look like this (full of Life Force) when they are dying.

She makes my problems seem so insignificant and trival.

Mum is actually going pretty well.  I'm kind of surprised, I mean she is 60 and was a major operation.  But I'm happy about that of course!  And apparently the dog (the rottie) has stopped following her around so much, we assume the dog 'knows' her health is improving and doesn't need a buddy with her 24 hours a day!  😄

It's very sad to hear of this fellow buddist lady nearing the end of her life.  Although I do love that she has that glow!  And it's fabulous she obviously still has a sense of humour about herself.  :-x

You are so right, puts things into perspective for sure.  I had a 'putting things into perspective' moment recently myself.  Really woke me up to a situation that was troubling me.  Now it's all quite clear to me what needs to be done.  I beleive the universe throws these types of situations at us (even if it's just in the form of someone elses story, like here) to put things into perspective for us.  So we can see our own situation a little clearer.  See what is really important.  🙂

OMG it's been raining all night last night and all day today here in Adelaide.  And it's cold.  😞  I have to sign off here, gotta give Noah a call.  Am thinking me and kitty will need to jump on that ship real soon!  :^O  😐

How is everyone? It has been quiet for a couple of days.

Nice to hear your Mum is doing quite well Blacksheepy  :-x

I spent a lovely afternoon overlooking the Sydney Harbour Bridge, North Sydney pool and Luna Park.

Stunning views.  While I was at the apartment the Pacific Pearl cruise ship left Sydney Harbour on it's voyage, so there are some happy cruise going people out there.

It was a gorgeous day although it is a bit chilly now.

I then watched day turn into night and the city lights come on.  Oh to have the money to buy that apartment.  *sigh* It is going up for sale in a couple of weeks.

I worked the first 3 days of last week but had a headcold so rested for the rest of the week when I had a lot to do- oh well!!

Samantha is such an angel I feel blessed everyday I get to spend with her! The 2 older kids have also been lovely lately, although Mr 13 has parent/ teacher interviews on Tues, so he could just be laying low so Im in a good mood from the get go!! LoL

Yesterday was a total "taxi" day alllllll day long while hubs worked all day with stocktake!

Son went to friends house o/night, and daughter went home with my sister after dinner, so just the 3 of us having cuddles in bed this morning! I only got up cos I had a blocked nose and didnt want to wake bubba with loud blowing noises!!

Today we are having visitors and prob going out for lunch so that will be nice! 🙂

Mum is getting worse each day. I can only describe her state as one of retardation. 😞 She had a fall last week but was uninjured.

She requires assistance with walking as she is taking morphine now.

It will be 7 weeks tomorrow since her surgery.

Nice story..I took mum out to lunch last week and through the window of the restaurant she saw an elderly person needing help to get into a vehicle by, I presume, her daughter helping her. Mum said, "a shame" while pointing to her.

I had a photograph taken with my mum too which was lovely.

Hi everyone!  Thanks so much for the good wishes for my Mum.  It's all still looking good for her too.

CJ, I almost feel bad saying that, your story isn't so good.  I hope that your mum isn't in any pain or distress.  Although, by the sounds of it, it seems it'd be hard to tell.  I can't imagine what you are going through, but I am confident you will and ARE getting through this with grace and strength.  :-x

On a happier note ...  I had an unexpected manifestation happen today.  It must have been a few months ago now, I saw this great winter coat.  Now me being so pale, I dont like to wear dark clothes near my face (makes me look even pastier than normal!), and of course most winter stuff is dark!  So when I saw this coat (it's a beigy/slightly goldy colour) I wanted it.  And it's the sort of coat that is classic style, I could wear it for years.  It was more than I wanted to pay so I added it to the mental list of things I would buy when I could afford it. 

Thats brings me to today - I was driving around picking up car and motor bike parts for my brother.  He gave me $50 for petrol to put in my car to cover the cost for driving around, but as it turned out I only used about $15 in petrol and went to give him the $35 I didn't need.  He told me to keep it, buy myself something.  I reluctantly took it.  Had no plans for it, just put it in my purse. 

On way home I thought I'd stop in at the shops, have a look around.  Maybe look at some kitties in petshop window!  Then I saw the coat I'd wanted, on sale for $30!  (Was originally around $100).  So with my unexpected extra $35 I bought the coat I'd wanted (and almost forgot about).  😄

Sure, it's just a little thing.  But when these 'little' manifestations happen, it reminds me that it does really happen!!  And it's so odd how things just happen to bring about the outcome.  I mean I wouldn't have gont to these shops if I hadn't been doing stuff for my brother.  And I wouldn't have had that free $35 in my purse.  etc. 

OH!  I just remembered another one!  So I had to go to brothers work first today.  I was to meet him there during his lunch time.  For some reason I'd been feeling like an apple pie (the ones at McDonalds) for a couple of days.  I just kept thinking of them?!  I haven't had one since I was a teenager so I got no idea what brought this on ...  Anyway I got to bros work 30 mins early so I kept driving, thinking I'll get lunch and come back in 30 mins.  All of a sudden I spotted McDonalds and pulled in, I figured an apple pie for lunch just this once wouldn't kill me!  I knew my brother likes them too so I got him one as well.  And they were only $1 each today!  😄 Woo!  (I paid for them with the coins in the ashtray of the car!)  :^O

I went back to bros work, gave him the apple pie and he said "Oh my god, are you serious?  I was thinking about going to Maccas at lunch just to get an apple pie!"  So HE manifested an apple pie too!  (As well as me) 

Cat are you working on bringing anything in particular to you??  If so, do tell!!!!
