Just to cheer you up, Ms Cat - Mr Elephant and I will celebrate our 49th Wedding anniversay on 1st November, and in all that time,neither one of us has ever even considered having an affair. (even though there have been a couple of times when I could cheerfully have walked out on him - temporarily, just to give him a fright.) :^O

All quiet here on the relationship front, I'm pleasant but no shows of affection, and keeping things a little on the formal side.
After I woke to another letter full of promises the other day I am certain what I speak goes in one ear an out the other!
So I text him earlier in the week with a simple message saying that he needs to ready himself for a serious talk this weekend about division of assets as I feel we are not on the same page here.
He didn't reply or speak of it but has been in overdrive being super helpful etc so I will find a suitable time over this long weekend.

My gut feeling is he's trying to slide thru to our anniversary on 4th Oct and hand over the $900 earrings and bang, everything is wonderful again! *sigh*

Busy busy b usy, here. Renovations are finished, the painter has started work, we have  loungeroom furniture crammed into every spare spot in the house and we have VISITORS  - Mr Elephant's Brother and SIL from Sydney, on their way round Australia doing the grey nomad thing.

iPad doesn't do paragraphs at all!!!
So apparently I haven't given "enough good excuses to break up" so we are NOT going to! 😐
He threw in my face that we have an 8 month old and I HAVE to work on things!
I reminded him that we don't live in the Middle East, and in Australia we have the freedom to leave a marriage for WHATEVER reason WE decide, and that a few weeks of 'good behaviour' soo doesn't make up for years of manipulation and emotional abuse.... This made him very cranky.
He was trying to slide through to anniversary but I again made it clear that no celebrations were happening, and anything purchased MUST be returned for refund.
He's playing the 'poor me' game again, soooooo annoying, but I just can't be drawn in by it, I will not be manipulated!
