My brother started his life as a wool classer back in the 60's.
It paid extremely well for a young bloke.
Poor petal He couldn't take the hard work and gave it away after a few months.
Ended up a salesman - much more his style.
He has a gift of the gab.

According to hubs, wool classing isn't all that hard, perhaps he just wasnt suited to countrey life

Wool classing involved lifting the fleece and throwing it on a table to be inspected.
He found that part too hard.
And it was in the city.
Bales got delivered.

Thats strange 'cause it's usually the rouseabouts ( sp ) who lift the fleeces on the tables for the wool classer to come along and check n grade
