Champion Breakfasts

A morning meal that satisfies 🙂 🙂 🙂

I just toasted crumpets for my son and I.  Mine was crunchy and buttery and tasted yummy.

He'd already had leftover Thai chicken soup with ginger, lol, and an apple.

What do you like eating for breakfast?

Scrambled eggs ala microwave.

Whisk eggs, a little knob of butter and  a splash of milk.

Set microwave to a low power. 7 would be good.

This is for about half a dozen eggs.

Nuke eggs for a couple of minutes and whisk.  Nuke again for another couple of minutes and whisk. Do it again for maybe 2 minutes. When the eggs start to thicken up a bit reduce the time down to one minute and check and whisk again.  Be careful because over cooked scrambled eggs go watery and horrible.  Once you take them out of the microwave they still keep cooking so they must be quite creamy.

Katy, I've never tried to make my own jam or marmalade. Is it difficult?

Kopenhagen, I found pineapple juice (even unsweetened) was too sweet, so we dilute it with water ... I think that makes it even yummier. But, it might not be as effective with the digestion that way.

Thanks, Channy.

Chuk, thanks ... maybe it was the oil or butter I added ... will try it your way soon.

Crystal, when my son was little, he used to love mushrooms and pasta. Just that ... mushrooms, pasta and a little water.

Thank you am*3 and Joono 🙂 🙂 🙂

When I still had post-pregnancy wobbles, I used to eat fruit for breakfast. For me, it took the weight right off.

I went through a juicing phase, too, but that didn't last long.

Darn freezing here this morning, so am thinking a cooked brekkie is on the menu, just not sure what yet, too early to be working out things like that lol

Chuk ... I just made scrambled eggs your way, except with water (ta, am*3). Very good. More "scrambled egg taste" than the way I USED to cook them. Thanks again 🙂

Bushies ... if you post what ingredients you have we might be able to help with suggestions 🙂

Semolina  for me today.  It warmed me up from the inside.  (Some may say it's like baby food, but I like it.)

10.30 and I am cruising on coffee so far. 🙂 Just about to toast some grain bread though. Think it might be honey this morning.

KatyD this was my first time making marmalade. It was easier than I thought it would be. We do have a lime tree though, which is handy.

Lloydslights ... I'm guessing you're Deb?

I don't like semolina, but I adore couscous which you can also have for breakfast ... if you like ... someone I know has it with honey or jam.

Thanks, KatyM.

For all you coffee first, food later people, here's a recipe to make your morning special.

Fresh home made bread within an hour.

Minimal kneading, not much waiting ... and it's yummy. I couldn't believe just how yummy it was.

That looks just like my bread Katy, but I wouldn't recommend that anyone ate it.
