Over the next few days you will see changes to the eBay header across the Australian site.
The changes to look out for are:
The Sell and Help & Contact links will move to the left hand side of the header.
The Community link will move to the footer.
There won't be any drop-down menus associated with the above links. You can still find the pages that used to appear in the drop-down options through the Help & Contact page
A new Notifications section can be found on the right hand side of the header.
Regards
The eBay team.

Aha! That explains why they don't want us to have guns.
I think 300 posts qualifies a poster as a regular.

hhmmm no.
we just don't want gun crazy yanks around here shooting at anything they don't know or understand.
we are happy here without scores of people being killed by gun shots every week.
think of us as canadians living in a desert with roos.

Or, think of us as Australians who don't want their fellow Aussies to carry guns with them when they go out shopping.
We also don't want a society whose citizens feel a need to carry guns to protect themselves against their fellow citizens.
(you guys in the USA don't take your 2nd amendement seriously because you haven't used it to fight against the tyrannical govt you already have. you live in a police state and you're "saving" your guns . . . for what?)
the 2nd amendment is tarnished and rusty through lack of use. best to repeal it and make the USA a safer society, albeit still a tyranny.

Some of you Aussies ( and Germans) have such an erroneous idea of what America is like that I think you've been talking to the kangaroos too long.
America is a Democracy. We don't have a tyrannical government and we don't live in a "police state", We may have a government a lot of us don't like but we have the option of voting them out of office. Same as you do. Not everybody owns guns or walks around carrying guns, either.
It's a shame that the Australian ebay boards seem to be going the way of the American ones with the changes that will make them harder to find. On the other hand, I wouldn't say this is the most welcoming board to post on anyway. Especially for foreigners.

hey, we welcome foreigners. At least I do.
but it's not about where you come from as much as it is about what you say and the ideas you propose.
I think it's a shame that Australia seems to be going the way America has gone with privatisation of most everything which can be privatised, including essential social services.
You do not live in a Democracy any more than we do. You and we live in a society whose politicians say that they represent the People but all the time they really represent the interests of those who contributed to their campaign funds to help them into office.
I have said this before.
Listen to what they say . . . and then look at what they do.
Often, it's a jarring and conflicting experience.
Who can we really vote for when they all wear purple ties?

I don't live in a police state. I love it here and will stay here till I die. And I doubt it'll be by a gun. We have too many people here anyway, so I don't care if 10 times more people get shot...we're keeping them.
Edit: I wouldn't want to go shopping with people carrying guns either....that's illegal here.
And whoever that knuckle head was that said 50 bucks and you can get a conceal carry permit online....What a load of BS. Maybe where you live. I'm guessing lots of odd balls live where ever that is.
I never even met a person who knew a person who's been shot, let alone been killed by a gun.
You guys have seen too many Dirty Harry flicks, lol.

I heard on the news that a 3 year old has shot his/her father and mother with a gun he/she found in mum's handbag.

I hear lots of stories like that. Usually some inbred hillbillies. Good for them, leaving a loaded gun around kids.
Survival of the fittest no longer applies in this Liberal society. That's one way to thin the herd. 40 million to go!

Family living in a motel room.......have 3 year old, 2 year old and mother was 8 months pregnant. Children now in protective custody. Parents awaiting child neglect charges. Sad, on so many levels and not a very good example of the majority in the US.
