A father has written a nasty piece about a disgruntled passenger in first class that was seated next to his toddler daughter.
Is he for real? I would have been furious to have paid for a first class airline ticket and then be forced into baby sitting a two year old.
I think the airline was wrong and the father is a nong. What do you think?

Angelina and her 6 children apparently flew 1st class without any dramas. Passengers said the children were well behaved.
Why do people assume a child will be a nusiness if sat next to?

Wealthy people (not the people in this story) that have kids shouldn't fly first class?? Sure, sounds reasonable (not).
It was mentioned early on in this thread, from the fathers written account of the story, both his wife and the male complainer were upgraded.. so neither of them had spent their life savings on a first class ticket. It was a shortish flight (2.5 hrs) not long haul Aus to London etc. which would cost $10 000+ in 1st class.
If the wife couldn't be bothered writing to the airline or the media to complain, I don't know why her OH did.. not the same when the person writing the complaint wasn't even there.
Where it said the passenger didn't open the window, I presume it means the shade was down, and the newly moved passenger didn't bother sliding it up so they could see out the window. The mother was told another passenger was having a hard time and wanted a window seat.

Because they are self centred and intolerant of others?

nup, not buying it.
And his account seems to be based on what his wife has told him..
Some kids may be well behaved on trains/planes/buses but I have had nothing but bad experiences with kids on trains, from kids that won't stop screaming to kids that constantly kick the back of my seat and play around with the table..

no. because people assume kids will be kids.
Obviously I can't always afford 1st class however if I did and had to put up with anything, I would feel cheated and want my money back.

Many people that don't have children are intolerant of them

Do you think anyone would be game enough to tell her that her kids were being brats?

There probably weren't any other passengers in the area. They have 8 security people and several nannies who travel with them. That's a lot of people.

A passenger was interviewed who sat nearby them.
