Children in 1st class

A  father has written a nasty piece about a disgruntled passenger in first class that was seated next to his toddler daughter.

Is he for real?  I would have been furious to have paid for a first class airline ticket and then be forced into baby sitting a two year old.

I think the airline was wrong and the father is a nong.  What do you think?

Re: Children in 1st class

I don't assume that all children will act up but I think expecting a child, say under 10 to sit and behave for 10+ hours is unrealistic.
I flew to England at 8years old with my two sisters aged 7 and 11, ALONE!! When we got off in Manchester the man I sat next to shook my uncles hand and said "Hello uncle stan MUGSSY has told me all about you"
How embarrassing.

Re: Children in 1st class

I don't know about this story.

I've never travelled first class but have managed a few business upgrades, the last one being qantas business with a skybed which is as close to First class as you can get.

But the seats just are not like in exonomy. You are squashed together. The person next to you isn't really a problem and you barely notice them.

So I doubt there could really have been a problem. Unless the child WAS allowed to run rampant.

Re: Children in 1st class

I believe the guy posted it on a forum about flying experiences with airlines? so he didn't actually write to the newspapers etc to complain.

I have no idea if he or his wife made a complaint to the airline itself.

No one is asking anyone who doesn't like having children next to them to do so............... ask to be moved.....no need for a song and dance act etc.

Re: Children in 1st class

That is correct, azure and the newspaper picked it up from the forum, which gives you something to think about when posting on a forum.
