How I despise organised religion, including cults, sects and all manner of crazies associated with them/it ... it always ends in abuse, murder, suicide, and can lead to all kinds of lifelong dysfunctional behaviour that wreck the lives of others.

How sorry I feel for those caught up in it .. innocent people and children who pay with their lives .. cut down by religious psychotic people who decide it is their way, or no way.

"Thou shall not kill" was pretty up there in the Anglican religion that I grew up with, that doesn't seem to count anymore within the new religions and cults coming out of the U.S....what a bizarre story, I'm so glad they've been caught

I respect many organised religions but it's the cults and extremists who are a huge worry.  It said in the link they are associated with The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, which is I think The Mormons .  who I never thought had cult like beliefs but  are more mainstream.

I've been following this case for months, holding out hope that the children had been left with someone else to care for them.

It looks like by the time the grandparents called for a welfare check. the children were already dead.

Such a sad and unnecessary outcome.   As a grandmother I feel their pain.

we have in relative recent times discovered a lot of very nast things that have been going on in main stream religions

pretty much hidden from view with the old 'oh it cant be true ' hes a priest!' talk

so what hope when the religion is very secretive and builds fenced off encaves where what goes on is very hidden?

then there is the church of scientology, brain washed is too simple a description.

no one should ever follow anyone blindly.

still, america is the home of the lost sheep willing to follow any moron with the gift of the gab

I have been followin the story as well, I had a feeling the children where dead when she refused to say where they were.

She was in court with a smug look on her face, awful people really awful
