I've been to Kiribati.

 

I didn't get that, nor did I ever see it done.

 

Must've dragged that one up out of antiquity cos I can't even find any reference to it, or any other pics for that matter.

Or didn't need to be kowtowed to, like the Chinese Ambassador.

 

It's a small nation.  I was there for 2 months.  My sister and family lived there for 5 years.

 

Enough 'distinguished' people arrived in that time.

 

One report I saw, said it was children he was walking on - couldn't see if it was from just that one pic though.

 

I don't much care, but thought it was strange I'd never heard of it.

 

edit:  googling 'kowtow' makes sense now

ok. learn to live with the fact that there are other cultures other than our own. We have welcomed them.
