here is one for ya:
In 1976 Stevens nearly drowned off the coast of Malibu, California, United States, and said he shouted: "Oh God! If you save me I will work for you." He related that right afterward a wave appeared and carried him back to shore.
Stevens formally converted to the Islamic religion on 23 December 1977

It's different for every Evangelical. It's very individualistic.
I personally only observe Easter and Christmas.
You observe Easter and Christmas? Everyone knows that they are BOTH pagan festivals - introduced into the Church by a Pagan Roman Emperor. Neither of them have anything to do with Jesus' birth or death.
Most scholars agree that Jesus was not born in December - the shepherds would have had their flocks indoors out of the cold, not in the fields as the Bible says they were when the birth was announced.
What do eggs and rabbits make you think about? They are BOTH fertility symbols - incorporated into church teachings to placate the Pagans within the Roman Empire who used them in their fertility rites. Jesus' death has nothing to do with fertility rites.

For me, it's not about what those traditions were originally for, it's what they mean to me now.
not enjoying slamming into you - just trying to set you straight.
At the last supper, Jesus commanded his apostles 'keep doing this in rememberance of me' - he commanded us to commemorate his sacrifice .
Where did he tell us to celebrate his birth? NOWHERE. It's another apostacy introduced by Rome.

more and more scholars are writing about christmas and easter and exposing them as what they are - Church Tradition - not fact.
as a matter of fact, Jehovah's Witnesses DO have a Last Supper celebration around the same time as Easter - they use the Jewish Calendar - Nisan 14 - which is the recorded date of Jesus' death. They too have it wrong about the actual day of His death - it was NOT a Friday at all - there was a double sabbath that year and so some say Wednesday and some say Thursday.

I celebrate Christmas, Rabbit. You know, that winter wonderland that's non-existent in this God-forsaken outback.
God-forsaken outback? Do you really believe that?
