Suppose it just goes to show we all interpret differently.

But in the end come to the same conclusion.

Of course lying is wrong - but have known some circumstances it has actually given hope.

I didn't see much of UK while we lived there - saw a fair bit when we went back about 10 years ago. Also went to a little village called Polpero (spelling?) - on the Cornish coast - famous for smuggling etc in the early days. A bit like the village in the Doctor Martin TV show.

You do right by people good things happen to you in return

You do wrong by people bad things come back to you

Ten fold 

I know this is similar to do unto others

But  there doesn't seem to be specific repercussions
