With all the answers I got from this question I think I got a clear understanding of what people think โบ๏ธโบ๏ธ Iโm very happy I asked the question as I certainly was curious. Like you suggested, I might just stick to things the way they are. If people want to get others a gift ๐ for Christmas ๐ they will decide what to give and will have a better understanding about what it is there friends and family like.. I really appreciate the feedback left for me ๐๐ผ I should have mentioned also Iโm in Australia ๐ฆ๐บ but yes others across the world can purchase them. Just stick to what I already know. Thank you xx

I do have a fairy ๐ง Mixture pack and kids love โค๏ธ this. I agree with your answer though, unless I make it a tad more fun ๐คฉ for the kids ๐ง I think I know where Iโm at now. Much much appreciated ๐๐ผ

Hi susieseeds. I have never been too successful with planting seeds, but I know how very important they are so I did a significant amount of experimentation while I was trying to get them to grow.
The Svalbard Global Seed Vault is a fantastic idea and I thought about this place while I was reading this thread. Personally, I think giving seeds as gifts is a great idea ... ๐
The Svalbard Global Seed Vault (Norwegian: Svalbard globale frรธhvelv) is a secure backup facility for the world's crop diversity on the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen in the remote Arctic Svalbard archipelago.[5] The Seed Vault provides long-term storage of duplicates of seeds conserved in genebanks around the world. This provides security of the world's food supply against the loss of seeds in genebanks due to mismanagement, accident, equipment failures, funding cuts, war, sabotage, disease and natural disasters. The Seed Vault is managed under terms spelled out in a tripartite agreement among the Norwegian government, the Crop Trust, and the Nordic Genetic Resource Center (NordGen).[6][7]
The Norwegian government entirely funded the Seed Vault's approximately 45 million kr (US$8.8 million in 2008) construction cost.[3] Norway and the Crop Trust pay for operational costs. Storing seeds in the vault is free to depositors.

Hey tasfleur ๐ค I have now made up some gift packs where people get to choose. Three packets included (45+) seeds in total plus a gift card and a few extra included surprises. I was thinking about promoting my ads for them and really trying to jersey up Christmas a bit although after reading a few of the comments on my question, I do believe that I will just have them available and that people decide whether they want them, or not. as long as everybody is happy and you and we all have a good Christmas ๐. I have never heard of global speed vault, although after reading what I read, it does sound quite nice ๐ your comment, made me smile heaps. Take care, hopefully talk again one-day xx

It does take a while to get used to knowing what things will, and wonโt grow at what times and which places over the year ๐ฟ๐ฝ๐บ I guess it helps to know what to include in the packs. Thatโs the main reason. I did ask this question ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ Every little bit of information/help helps. Thank you for taking the time to help x

It is really a matter of โwhat, where, who, and whyโ ๐ค๐ป๐ฅฆ I have just sent my first gift pack to my mum and dad. It was quite fun making it up for them. They picked three different types of seeds out of a variety. Cheers for your input ๐ x

Well, that's a great idea. Seeds could be sent as birthday cards as well ๐. I remember picking some original cards up from an opportunity shop to send to friends and families over seas โ๏ธ in different countries. Among them were some that had seeds for flowers and a couple of them had herbal tea sachets ๐ต. I was a bit concerned about the bio thing ๐ so I gave them away.
A great idea. When someone plants a seed from the card and a plant grows they'll be reminded of that person. Sunflower seeds are cool. ๐ป
