1..Christmas songs (not carols)but those awful songs
2...Stop ordering me to be merry
3. Shelf after shelf filled with tinsel and sh^t
4. Telling me to spend $5000 for a present
5 Having to write jolly cards to ppl you can't stand
6. Skinny santas in shopping centres
7 Fat santas in shopping centres
8 Santas anywhere
8 Bing Crosby's White Christmas .... ugh
9 Wracking my brains to buy something original for ppl who have everything
10 With one meal putting on all the weight I lost the weeks before
11 Wrapping Christmas presents and tearing the paper
12 Having to listen to Bing Crosby's Little Donkey over and over
13.. Always getting the wrong end of the crackers
14. Drunk friends, unless it's me
14. Repeat dopey Christmas movies except National's Lampoon Christmas.
Bound to have left something out.

Bright - am with you on most of it.
But no mention - of those you do care about. ???
Edited to say.
Christmas doesn't have to be everyone elses idea of it.
Only your own - those you care about, those that are close.

Domino I don't have any family and my closest friends are all going away for Christmas which is probably why I'm feeling cheerless. . I have been invited to Cairns which would be lovely but can't fly, or trust someone enough to look after my little anxious dog.
I do envy those with families and children around, like there used to be for me , that to me is a real Christmas.but there are many in the same boat as me or worse.
I won't be alone over Christmas like some are, but I think all the ho ho ho stuff just emphasizes .things if one is a bit sad. and it just seems to have started so early this year.

That's such a shame Brighton. Christmas doesn't have to be anything big but I think the best aspect of it is being able to spend time with family & friends. I now have 4 grandchildren so i expect the 2 older ones (3 & 2) will enjoy it. The day itself has mixed emotions for me. It was always special when i was growing up, my mother spent a busy time in the kitchen & we always had a wonderful day. But as it happened, a few years back, Christmas morning was also when she died. So on the day now, my sister & I usually go to the cemetery to lay flowers.
It might sound depressing but it's not actually. The place is absolutely packed with people all dressed up in their best and flowers are everywhere.
After that though, we go on and enjoy the day-we have the full thing, the bon bons, the crackling, the tree, the presents because... why not.

I LOVE Christmas too.
I love picking that something special as a present for someone.
We do a HUGE Christmas Lights Display at our house.
Usually we have about 20 for lunch and sometimes tea................(and some come back for leftovers on Boxing Day)
I do Christmas Boxes for the grandchildren................I love trying to find somthing that will tickles their fancy.
Last year I bought the boys plastic dog poo.................gross I know...............but they loved it.
Our teenage grand daughter was into Zombies.....so I bought her fake zombie face tattoos.
Our youngest son kept drinking his fathers Pepsimax of a night time when we were in bed.............so he got paper mache coal in his Christmas Stocking.
It isnt about money...............its about family.
