I love classical music, and I know the Countess likes it too. Maybe there are also lurkers who like it. 🙂
Anyway, maybe some will like to post classical music here (or listen to it).
You can post opera arias, piano recitals, orchestra concerts... - anything you like. Classical music is used in its broader meaning in this thread.
Please post links rather than embedding videos because sometimes the videos won't load.
Let's start...

That’s a very good performance of the Sixth. I love this work.

Beethoven: Symphony No. 9 (The "Choral") in D minor, Op. 125. Perf. by Bayreuth Festival Orchestra conducted by Wilhelm Furtwängler, with soloists Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Elisabeth Höngen, Hans Hopfer, Otto Edelmann.
This is the 1951 live performance without the Walter Legge edits. It's utterly thrilling, certainly one of my favourite renditions.

Donizetti: Sul suo capo aggravi un Dio... Va', infelice, e teco reca (from Anna Bolena). Sung by Edita Gruberova and Dolores Ziegler.
This is the big scene (recitative and duet) for the two women (Anna Bolena and Giovanna Seymour) when Anna knows she's going to be beheaded. Some of the greatest bel canto singing ever performed.

A bit long, but we all like starry nights and it is quite powerful...
