Right around the world people are hitting the streets to demand stronger action in climate change in what has already been dubbed as the biggest climate rally in history!!  How come our media hardly mentions it?

Abbott can't handle intelligent people. They scare him, especially when there are women of intelligence who might show him up as the buffoon he is.  (no offence to buffoons)

Re: Climate action

Is it 97% of scientists or 99.999%?

Ever wondered how those percentages were arrived at Joz?

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

if those figures are true, i'm guessing the remaining 3% were paid off by the oil companies (and the like) to spread their an anti climate change propaganda

now if we can get back to my other question

and seeing as you brought up the %'ages

..........how do 97% of scientists profit from gov taxes providing evidence that man has an impact on the climate?

so poddster what's in it for the scientists to say that global warming/climate change does exist.

Do they actually get something out of it. ?  is there some advantage in it for them to be what you call conning everyone?

Re: Climate action

The deniers aren't important anymore, Australia will suffer economically as the rest of the world moves into renewable energy - we could and should be leading the world yet our govt is stuck on Coal is King. Whether or not people believe climate change exists is no longer of any consequence - we will be dragged kicking and screaming into the future but instead of leading the world as a clean energy superpower and reaping the economic rewards we will be left far behind.
