I stuck a frozen burrito into the over-the-stove microwave a number of years back, punched in 3 minutes, then decided I needed to spend a little time on the throne.
I was immersed in a magazine, when I noticed kind of a burned smell wafting through the bathroom.........remembering the burrito, I returned to the kitchen, through a haze of smoke ( detector never did go off) and gazed at the now dark microwave.
Inside, what looked like last night's log fire glowed malevolently deep inside. Apparently I had entered 30 minute into the oven, instead of 3 minutes. Not only the burrito had been toasted, but the microwave also...........
A $400 experience!!

If that burrito had a foil wrapper on it, you could have at least experienced a cool $400 light show. ๐

My first experience cooking in the microwave was to cause a lovely christmas pudding to turn into Mount Vesuvius complete with pyroclastic flow ....
