Coronavirus update: Formula One Grand Prix called off, Trump announces travel ban, Tom Hanks tests positive
on 14-04-2020 05:46 PM
The research and testing protocol for drugs and vaccines in Australia is very stringent. There are approved drugs in other countries, including the US, which Australia will not approve because of the high standards required for approval. I think the plan is to fast track approval if a vaccine or a cure is found, but Australia will only bend the rules to a point.
It is imperative to try and identify the original cause of the virus in order to search for a vaccine and prevent future outbreaks, which might involve a more deadly virus next time. But the political rhetoric about the origin of the virus being tossed around by the US and China is not helping and must be embarrassing in the eyes other world governments.

Do you ever post anything negative about South Australia David?
I am sure you have your fair share of Morons there too.
i sure do, our premier is the moron who didnt make it against the law to travel to holiday houses over easter
and i posted that several times
as well as saying our state govt has actually done very little re the virus besides closing the borders.
his entire package to help anyone one was 300 million dollars of which i doubt anyone took advatage of because it was so targeted.
its been sheer luck we havent had a larger spread of the virus, it hasnt been for our tough govt.
of those who have died in SA several are directly tied to the ruby princess. his closing the borders didnt stop infected people coming back into the state!
Everyone's a moron except David. Thank goodness for David!

Disgusting as the Wet Markets are (shudder)...do we know for sure this is where the virus originated?
Or is it just China-bashing?
He said, "very real likelihood". Is that China bashing?
So we don't know for sure? If not, it could be China-bashing?
You go with that Icy. I'm sure it's logical in your mind.

So maybe instead of always denigrating those who run NSW and name calling ....... and you don't even live here...... how about being constructive and suggesting how in the h@ll the government could have known about this woman who didnt even show symptoms until the 6th day. Or tell us about your govt and how they do things better .......... though much easier with a far smaller population.

i'm not the sharpest tool in the chest but allowing those passengers to leave that ship and spread all over the country, i think id have felt that was a bad idea.
having a staff member with syptoms working 6 shifts in an old folkes home, id call that criminal.
and yes the holidayers are still here, its still school holidays here.
