10 staff and residents test positive at aged care home
NSW Health says 10 staff and residents have tested positive to COVID-19 at a Western Sydney aged care home where a staff member worked six shifts despite having symptoms of the virus.
The Anglicare Newmarch House in Caddens, near Penrith, was placed in lockdown on Saturday after the female worker tested positive.
Six staff, including the woman, have now tested positive along with four residents.

Yeah.. it's been open for awhile, I thought at first there must be something China is not telling the world about to reopen it again
But now i hear WHO approves?!. The mind boggles

That's a worry because WHO knew about the virus in early January and didn't pass it on to the rest of the world
and so I would be worried about anything WHO says in relation to China because they have approved everything
that China has done so I presume China is going to be funding them in a big way.
But then there is also that the virus didn't originate from there and there is also supposed to be a laboratory
that test bats for coronavirus that's only 50 kms from there,so who knows.

NSW again!
must be being run by a bunch of morons!
So maybe instead of always denigrating those who run NSW and name calling ....... and you don't even live here...... how about being constructive and suggesting how in the h@ll the government could have known about this woman who didnt even show symptoms until the 6th day. Or tell us about your govt and how they do things better .......... though much easier with a far smaller population.
New South Wales has roughly 5 times the population of South Australia and is the main gateway for International visitors arriving by sea and air.
It is very easy to sit back smugly in your little backwater and call the NSW government names but frankly it does not become you.....I always thought you were better than that David.

the facts speak for themselves!
so yes, the NSW govt is full of morons!
btw, how does it feel to call south australia a 'backwater'?
or is it just wallaroo thats a 'backwater'?
having never been here i assume would make you an expert on 'backwaters'?
see, when you complain about me calling your govt names you destroy your argument by doing the same thing about my state/town.

Staff from coronavirus-hit Tasmanian hospital angry over lack of PPE, flouting of social distancing

"Those points were made clear to the Health Department through appropriate managerial staff at the hospital after our Ruby Princess patient arrived, and they were responsive. But the sense was that they were playing catch-up, there was a level of unpreparedness in the response."
once again, other states suffer from NSW govt slackness in allowing passengers from the ruby princess to leave their state!
5,000 people to be ordered into two weeks in home isolation.

I did not call South Australia a backwater but now that you mention it, it is not the most vibrant State in Australia.
I said that you were in a little backwater in Wallaroo.
I first visited SA in 1965 to meet my fiancee's family....they were very hospitable and took me all over the place, including to Wallaroo.
Since my first visit in 1965 I have been back many times, including going to the Walleroo area where my sister in law has extended family, so yes, I think I do have a bit of knowledge about backwaters.
Don't get me wrong.....I love South Australia and one of the things I like most is the quiet pace of life there. It is a lot quieter than NSW.
I just don't think that name calling is very productive (and it is very juvenile). I have not and would not do it about another State so I am not sure how you work out that that I have destroyed my own argument.

Must admit I am quite happy to be living in a small "backwater" town ...... It's far safer atm, than living in a large city atm. It's a 30km drive to do my main grocery shopping, so if I need to get out for a drive, I can. It's also within the law to go and cut firewood, so I can I go for a 45km through the country side to the state forest and given the 'roos up there don't have CV19, I am totally safe. I can also duck up to my neigbours farm and checkout her cows and their new born babies
There is hardly a soul to be seen walking around and very few cars on the local roads, I dont have to queue to go to my chemist, PO etc. Give me a "backwater" town anytime.
bty David I have been to your town, very pretty place and hope everyone stays safe there

All the more reason to have been far more careful re the Ruby Princess docking and allowing the passengers to disembark
Its interesting that NSW and Vic have a similar pop, yet NSW has over the double the CV19 cases and deaths, so something isn't quite right up there
