Some guy dropped into the local tobacconist here today and bought 20×25g pouches of tobacco. It cost him nearly $900.
In another story a guy at the supermarket was caught handing packs of toilet to his mates at the delivery bay. I'd say he's probably lost his job over it.
In another another story, a friend of mine, a lovely young Taiwanese backpacker, was in the supermarket with a surgical mask on. A couple of racist d*ckheads pursued her taking photos of her on their phones. We advised her to go to the police and report it. She got word from the police today that these guys were hauled in and fined $400 each. Good work, plod.

Scott Morrison says panic buying driven by coronavirus lockdown fears is 'ridiculous' and 'un-Australian'
he may as well said 'dont catch the virus and everything will be fine'
the morons in society are part of his 'me me me' australia hes been building since john howard was first elected.
we have the money and we want everything NOW!
stuff the people who dont have money.
ya rekon its the unemployed, the pensioners, the disabled clearing the shelves?
no, its the ones with cash in the bank who can fill a trolly with every can of baked beans, roll it out to the car then return for the spagetti.
repeat for every item they feel they could run out of in the next 6 months.

There's some creative reporting going on somewhere because your article and this one both quote Brian Oliver but say opposite things.
In this one he says only 1% of the deaths in China were otherwise healthy people (those who previously had no health problems. That's 32 "healthy" people who died in a country with a population of almost 1.4 billion.
In your article he's reported as saying there were more deaths of young people in China than anywhere else.
