Just to get idea where we sit; we are doubling on cases every 2.5 days, BUT remember that only people who came from o/s or were in close contact with somebody who came from overseas are tested.  People who do not have such contacts are NOT tested even if symptomatic; that is because we are running low on test kits.  However, as from today (?) they are going to widen the testing criteria.

Coronavirus doesn't kill many people - but here's how it can

seems if your fit and healthy, not too old or young, you'll be not really any worse than the flu

its those with underlying illnesses particulaly the elderly that are dying.

i'm not convinced the govt could do much more for the business comunity

they are a group who have allways 'hired and fired' to stay liquid.

need workers, hire.

less work, fire.

trying to pay them not to fire workers who have nothing to do would cause them to implode.

as we can see allready, no matter how large or small the company, if theres no money coming in, then its the workers who suffer first.

for big companies the upper management are on tight contracts (with clauses about being paid regardless i'm sure)

for small companys its close the doors, no one gets paid, from the cleaner to the boss.

and right now even if your door is open, the public is being told "stay home, dont go out, except for essentials.'

One challenge is to convert imported contents of goods into local content - where the Govt funding might help industry

What has building a wall got to do with anything?

And why pick on NSW.....our Premier is very much leading from the front and not sitting in her cushy office like some.

She seems to be doing a decent job.

well done, you found the 1 in a thousand that 'bucks the trend'

of course there are exceptions.

no where in that story was a doctor giving any facts about her, just her mum and her sister.

and further down the page was the same stuff i just talked about.

now i'm not going to say the mothers talking bullshyte, i dont know, but it wouldnt be the first time someone embelished a story for their 15 minutes of fame.

people do all sorts of stuff for a story.

was she paid?

who knows?
