there is one guy i would love to hear tested positive, trump
Why would you wish this horrible virus on anyone?
why wouldnt i?
he seems to need a major reality check as he doesnt 'get it' yet (excuse the pun)
Well be careful of what you wish for ......'cause Karma can be a real bugga at times ......
this virus may well kill a lot of people before its under control
but lets not lose sight of reality
yes its a nasty virus
but we already have a killer disease in australia that makes this virus look damn small stuff
CANCER
in 12019 cancer took 50,000 australian lives!
where are the panicing throngs over cancer?
personally i'm more concerned i'll die a horrible death from cancer like my eldest brother did,
one day he has a tiny spot on his neck, 2 years later hes dead
and it wasnt pleasant!
he was a fit youngish man
having cancer in my family, that scares me a lot more than this virus.
so yeah, this virus is nasty, but its not the biggest kiler out there.
i just think whilst we are running about yelling the sky is falling we should stop and take a breath
50,000 deaths! in a year, where was the 'stop the nation heres a billion $s to sort this out'
its all about perspective
have we stopped careing about all the other nasty things?
i hope not

for anyone thinking 50,000? carp!

David, I doubt there would be a family who hasn't been touched by cancer.
So my feelings are NO.
In my family Mother, Father, 2 brothers and a 3rd from a massive heart attack.
Myself BC but i'm well and doing fine. My partner also cancer at the same time
as mine well and doing fine. My motto is enjoy your life live for today and
tomorrow can take care of itself.

In the coronavirus pandemic, cruise ships present a perfect storm of problems for governments

Qantas denies sick leave to its grounded workers amid coronavirus pandemic
interesting premise
do you stop being an employee when stood down on mass?
so if you become ill by being in contact with a virus during your time at work you cant claim sickness?
i hear lawyers stampeding

No we haven't stopped caring. I would imagine most of the members here have been touched by cancer etc in their lives.
But that doesn't mean that if we can do something to prevent a virulent endemic taking over that we roll over belly up does it?
If we just let it run free then thousands if not millions won't live long enough to be affected by anything else.
Engage brain David as you do seem to have one at times.

Cancer is not contagious, you can't catch it from other people. The largest killer on cancers is Lung Cancer , almost exclusively cause by smoking. And yes Cancer is the largest killer in Australia up to date

You can't catch or transmit cancer while buying toilet paper at Coles, getting a haircut or going to a movie theatre. Cancer can be mild, moderate and can kill. Coronavirus can be mild, moderate and can kill. Seems like a no brainer to me.

where did i say what we are doing about this virus is wrong or is over the top?
nowhere
i'm just poniting out although the virus is bad, its not as bad as some are making it out to be.
i may be wrong, but i'm pretty sure we wont see anywhere near 50,000 die per year of this virus. ever!
they will create a vaxine, we will be vaxinated (unlike cancer)
my brain just works differently, i see things differently.
so i made a joke about trump getting the virus.
and was told you shouldnt even joke about such a thing. really?
are we at the point we can have a laugh?
if he got the virus its highly unlikely he would die, most likely he would just turn a little more orange.
might even open his podgy eyes and realise hey this is serious, my people need me to actually do something here!
but hes so thick he prolly wouldnt.
