This means for trucks and other vehicles the only available crossing around Mildura will be the Chaffey Bridge at Mildura.
IMO it will be total chaos right along the border, espeially in some of the smaller towns, who need to cross over to do their grocery shopping etc
The towns on the NSW side of the river here are pretty well serviced for things like grocery shopping. The area that is lacking is in healthcare.

They arent up Corryong way, most of the small towns near there dont have any shops at all, they all come into to Corryong for their grocery shopping
The nearest hospital is either Albury or Wondonga, over 120 kms away

Same around here where the shops, health care, etc are all on the Victoria side of the border.
It's now less than 3 hours to lock down of the borders and yet no one seems to know how to get a permit or who issues them or who is and who isn't allowed to travel one or both ways.
Unless they do something sensibly and quickly the nightmare will begin for a lot of people.
Once again something that was privatized has dropped the ball and affected the lives of others and as far as I'm concerned they should start putting into any contract that if they stuff the have to pay up.
Had they not used private security contractors for hotel quarantine none of this would be a reality and we would have a much better "normal" with a much better outcome.

Apparently there "somewhere" on line that peeeps could apply for a permit .......... goodness knows where and NOT everyone has the internet ...... what a bleeding mess this has all become, mainly due to the selfishness of a few idiots
Apparently SA has tightened it's border with Vic, 'causing more stress for those in my area who live close to it's border and now are unsure what they can and cant do

Folk around Edenhope who mainly shop in Naracoote must now travel to Horsham to do their main shopping which adds another 45 km each way to their journey, hence more time, petrol costs etc. Dont mention shopping online/home del ............. there isnt any in the "bush"
