Is there any good reason why people should not send their address in email or eBay message?
Lately I have bought heaps of stuff that needs to be picked up. Most people refuse to use email or eBay message to send the address. They want to either text it or dictate it over the phone. They say it is dangerous, bur when I asked why nobody was able to give me any rational reason why. Best they could manage was that they do not want ebay to know their address. Really, how did they signed up then?
I do not own a mobile, i do not particularly want one. I also do not wish to call people on their mobiles because my plan, which gives me unlimited free calls all over Australia, and unlimited internet access, charges by the minute for calls to mobile.

I think many are ignorant on how the internet works and have heard stories of the internet not being safe to put personal info in case it props up somewhere after floating around in cyberspace.
Perhaps we should wear foil hats when signed into ebay.
I agree - these days - any information given - is given.

That's an odd one. Postal address is listed on file with eBay when signing up.
Maybe they all use P.O. boxes for that.
I wouldn't send credit card details in an email.

No, i would not send CC details in email either. LOL
2 of the people who refused to send their home address by eBay message were moving within few days. It's not like that they were selling something very valuable; just few $ piece of junk.
Anyway, thanks for the answrs 🙂
