Could someone please explain the role of a School Chaplaincy Program in a secular school?

I don't understand how parents at secular public schools can accept this?

I didn't say either was okay.  What I am saying is that athiests adhere to a belief system.  There is a whole heap more to it than simply "following nothing"

As a deputy chair of a school board and head of the P&C , I could tell you exactly what there roll is , but I figure it would be a waste of my time, as you are not really interested in what there roll is , rather more interested in bagging them out based on your own biased views on religion

Nobody is bagging them out.

The conversation is about the non-religious based staff are getting removed.  The removal of choice in the program.

To bring it back on topic, it seems there are people out there that have big problems with chaplains in secular schools.  Maybe I'm wrong but I have assumed the majority of these people would be athiests.

Therefore it's not just the belief in the absence of God or blind faith in science, it is also the blatent abhorrance of all things Christian.

Science is not something people have blind faith in.

It's sort of the opposite.

Of course they do.  But chaplains aren't there to teach or preach religious ideology, they are there to offer support when and where it is needed.

More than some it seems. Can't have anything to do with Easter/Santa/Christmas in general anymore because it might offend other students. Even in kindergarten.

Our current chaplain seems to bring alot of Christian performers to the school, I would say there's one every couple of months. These things are very obviously promoting the Christian faith, occasionally I'll get an 'opt out' form. I was also surprised when my son bought a bible home in year 8, does that happen in all public schools?

We got bibles - new testaments in our early years of high school too (40 years ago) my children did as well more recently. I think that was a Gideon's thing.
