Could you do better ? (A Kind of Political Thread)

There are countless political threads on the boards as we all know.

And no matter the intention of the OP, most really just end up being a cat fight between each responders preferred party or representative.

Here is a twist - Could you, as the leader of a political party, do a better job (and not just an off the cuff answer along the lines of a two year old could do a better job haha) but an answer backed up with the method to attain what you think the country needs.

I reckon at the end, all of us will realise it is not an easy job....and you can't please all the people all the time.

No, I could not follow party policy and would choose the logical answer.

I would though like to be Priminister or a minister and try and do it on minimum wage for a full year.

Some have said they could do it for a week, i would try a year and maybe video it all to show the rest of the pigs that they better get their nose out the trough.

I could not come up with a perfect immigration plan.

I would allow gay marriage simply because the rest of the world is slowly embracing it.

I would not want to go on many radio interviews and get shouted down or be put in a place where I could be caught out.

Also if someone threw something at me I would knock their teeth out as  warning for the next smart person.

Is a CAT tax an abbreviation for CATastrophe tax ? because it looks like that's what we will have to face to get out of this mess created over the past 6 years.

Now look at the poor QLDers, the premier is now having to make very hard decisions to get that state back up to where it should be, everyone wants it fixed but no one wants to pay for it.

You are right, the libs will have to raise some taxes, cut some benefits, reduce the public sector jobs and really put the screws on to get this country up and running again.

You will hate it but the blame lies with the present government for spending money it did not have and relying on money it MIGHT get, didn't pan out that way so woops someone has to fix it.
