Council Cleanup/Hardwaste Collections

My OH loves 'em.
He piles all our junk on the nature strip and then takes a somewhat unhealthy interest in people stopping and looking over what's there. I tell him, if it goes, it goes. I don't care who takes it, scavangers or council workers.

I think it's his favourite time of year LOL

Where I live, people will put items out the front anytime with a sign that says *free*, the item is gone within a couple of days.

The stuff we've put out doesn't even last a day

A free to good home sign always works for us.

Council Cleanup/Hardwaste Collections

I watched the council cleanup truck come through this morning...

Everything was thrown into the back of one of those mangle it up / crusher trucks.

This was supposed to be a mostly metal waste / white goods pick up, but they took everything from across the road (renovation waste - old cupboards, doors etc) and crushed the lot.

I do wonder if any of it will get recycled??

Oh dear.   I do hope they weren't put there in remembrance

of someone who died at that spot.  If so, you will burn in eternity.

 Still feelin' cheeky?
