I am supposed to be making a table centre piece for a function that is coming up. The theme is "Putting on the Ritz". I had thought of getting some arcrylic champagne glasses (not flutes, what are the other saucer shaped ones called?), setting some pink jelly in them (water, gelatine and a little red food colouring) with glitter all through it, then balancing them like a champagne pyramid (probably glue gunned together so I can transport them easily)
Now, my question is do you think the glitter in the genatine would work? or would it all just sink to the bottom? Do you have any other ideas to make it look champagne like?
This is not a fancy do, just a whole bunch of women dressing up and having fun, so it doesn't matter if things look a bit tacky iykwim.

Yes!!! That's very similar to "Angel hair" I was thinking of.

Make a real one, no transport problems that way and the girls might get a kick out of it 🙂

Okay, the function is this Thursday night and I'm still struggling. I have the "glasses" and a large circle of silver cardboard the stand them on. The pyramid shape is all worked out and I have the right pinkness for the champagne, but ........
...... I'm having trouble with the gelatine. What extra strength do you think I need to make it set really hard. I have tried halving the water and it's still not setting at all. Any ideas?

PVA glue dries clear, maybe you could use it in the glass.
